FROM mid October to early January, we visit Brackendale, which becomes a sanctuary for over 1300 wintering Bald Eagles
We engage in Forest Bathing at Lighthouse Park amidst the centuries-old colossal trees (70 m tall Douglas firs and western red cedars). As someone deeply familiar with this forest, I guide participants towards achieving tranquility and connectivity, and a sense of being centred and peaceful.
We then proceed to Whytecliff Park to experience beachcombing along the magnificent rocky shores in Canada’s first marine protected area.
Lunchtime finds us at Porteau Cove Provincial Park, where I serve a healthy, locally sourced packed lunch complemented with Chai tea.
Our next destination is Shannon Falls, which towers 335 meters above Highways 99, making it the third highest falls in the province.
