Beautiful Day in Roatan. - It was a great day in Roatan with Jaime. His English was fluent. He imparted lots of good information on the island. He was very solicitous of us 4 seniors. We thoroughly enjoyed driving around with him. The boat captain was excellent. He made sure we were comfortable & safe. Good snorkeling equipment. The reef is dead so it was a disappointment but we were glad we went. The Chocolate Factory had some great products. All in all, we enjoyed our tour & deeply appreciated the personal attention & respect.

Jamie is the best - I had a wonderful experience with Jaime. This tour was fantastic—great snorkeling, thank you the captain for private snorkeling experience. That is wonderful. very relaxing, and a lot of fun. Jaime also shared interesting historical information during the trip, which really added extra value. He put in extra effort and care throughout the experience. Big thanks to him!

Best private Shore Excursion in Roatan - Jaime was our tour guide for this tour and we couldn’t had ask for a better one. Communication was great already days ahead of the tour to make sure that meetup at the port will be easy. Jaime was ready waiting for us with a very spacious comfortable vehicle and got us on the road quickly. He took pictures of us at the Roatan sign and took us straight to the Chocolate factory. Right from there we met our tour guide for snorkeling who took us out to a perfect spot on the reef. He went with us in the water and showed us many beautiful things like conch shells and all the beautiful fishes. He also took my camera down to the bottom of the reef for more awesome pictures. Afterwards he dropped us off at the local restaurant where we met with Jaime again for a great lunch and conversations. Jaime told us many things about the culture of the island and Honduras. We asked him for some local shopping opportunities and he was happy to take us to some local places for souveniers and Honduras rum. We also had time to stop at the animal sanctuary to meet the sloths, hold monkeys and take pictures with Macaws. We stopped at the Rum Distillery for some delicious rum and rum cake tasting before returning back to the port. Jaime made sure we had an amazing time, gave us great advice and we learned lots about Honduras. We definitely recommend taking a tour with Baystar Tours!

Awesome tour and Jaime was Amazing. - This was our 5th cruise and the first time we took a private excursion and it was amazing. It was just the two of us and it was so nice that we had a mini van to ourselves and not crammed in like the excursions you would book thru the cruise line. About a week before the cruise began, we were in contact with Jimmy from BayStar and he made sure everything was set, where and when to meet the tour guide and to answer any questions we had. Once we arrived in Roatan, we went to the meeting spot, which was only a 5-7 minute walk from the port and Jaime was there waiting for us. We had read so many positive reviews on Jaime so we were thrilled he was our guide and we were not disappointed, he was AMAZING. At each stop Jaime made sure everything was good with us and he took a lot of pictures of us with our phones. Along the way, Jaime told us about the island and about his life on the island. We highly recommend Jaime. As for the tour, it was awesome. It was the right amount of time at each stop and we didn’t feel rushed. I recommend getting off the ship early. We were among the first people off the ship, thus we were able to beat the ships and other private tour groups to the Roatan sign and the chocolate factory. We were the only ones there when we showed up so they were answering our questions and we were tasting the different tours of chocolates. Then the two of us went on a private boat and snorkeled the reef for about 45 minutes. They provided the mask, snorkel and fins. After that we went to the rum factory and across the street there is a small lighthouse that has amazing views. We highly recommend paying the extra few dollars to climb it to see the amazing views of the island. After that we headed back to the cruise port and were back in plenty of time to go back onboard the ship to change and eat, and then back to the port to do some shopping.

Amazing Tour with Great Value. Our tour guide Jaime is Awesome. - This was our 5th cruise but the first time we took a private tour and it was amazing. It was so nice to have a private tour with just the two of us. I am a bigger man, 6’5” and over 300 lbs, and my wife is about 5’11”. So it was great to have a minivan for just the two of us with a lot of room to sit and stretch out. We were in contact with BayStar tours about a week before our cruise began and they made sure everything was set, where and when to meet the tour guide and to see if we had any questions. Once we arrived in Roatan, we went to the meeting spot and found our tour guide, Jaime, very quickly. I had read so many positive reviews on Jaime, so my wife and I were thrilled that he was our guide and we were not disappointed, he was AMAZING. At each stop Jaime made sure everything was good with us and took a lot of pictures on our phones. Along the way Jaime told us about the island and about him and how he made it to Roatan. We would highly recommend Jaime. As for the Tour, we were among the first people to leave the cruise ship, thus we were able to beat the ships and other private tour groups to the Roatan sign and the Chocolate factory, did not have any other tours there so we could walk around and ask questions without feeling rushed at all. Plus we sampled most of the chocolates there. Then just the two of us went on a private boat out to the Reef and snorkeled for about 45 minutes. They provided the mask, snorkel and fins. After that we went to the Rum factory and across the street there is a small lighthouse that had amazing views. Recommend paying the few extra dollars to climb it. It had outstanding views of the island. Then it was back to the cruise ship port where we had plenty of time to walk around, eat and do some shopping. Highly recommend this tour.

Unreliable tour company - This trip was canceled due to weather. I get that but we hustled off our cruise to meet the operator. He should have communicated this cancellation before we got off our ship. I believe they were hoping that we would take one of there land tours so that's why they didn't let us know.
