- Stingray City - Begin your journey with complimentary transportation from select accommodations in the Seven Mile Beach area. Cruise ship passengers can meet at the Waterfront Centre in George Town, conveniently located a short walk from the cruise terminal.
From there, proceed to the marina and board your boat for a trip across Grand Cayman’s North Sound. At Stingray City, enter the calm, shallow waters of the renowned sandbar, usually no deeper than five feet (1.5 meters). Spend about 40 minutes in the water observing southern stingrays up close in their natural environment while your crew provides insights about these fascinating marine creatures.
Travel time from your pickup location, the marina, and across the North Sound is included in this part of the itinerary.
- Grand Cayman - Continue across the North Sound to the Barrier Reef for the first of two dedicated snorkeling stops.
Spend around 30 minutes snorkeling among coral formations, tropical fish, and other marine life while exploring one of Grand Cayman’s natural reef environments. Snorkeling gear is provided for your time in the water.
Navigation between Stingray City, the Barrier Reef, and Coral Gardens is included in the listed duration.
- Grand Cayman - Your final stop takes you to Coral Gardens for another approximately 30 minutes of snorkeling in the clear Caribbean waters. Explore a different section of Grand Cayman’s underwater landscape, with coral formations and opportunities to spot vibrant tropical marine life.
After your snorkeling adventure, board the boat for the return journey to the marina, followed by transportation back to the Royal Watler Cruise Terminal or participating accommodations in the Seven Mile Beach area.

Spend a morning exploring Grand Cayman’s North Sound, starting with the shallow waters of Stingray City and moving on to two distinct snorkeling adventures beneath the Caribbean Sea.
Kick off your adventure at the renowned Stingray City sandbar, where the water is usually no more than five feet deep, and southern stingrays gracefully swim in their natural environment.
Next, gear up with your mask and fins to dive below the surface. Unlike tours that offer just one reef stop, this excursion allows you to snorkel at both the Barrier Reef and Coral Gardens, with about 30 minutes at each site to discover coral formations, tropical fish, and other marine creatures.
From standing on a shallow Caribbean sandbar to snorkeling in two of Grand Cayman’s most famous reef settings, the scenery evolves throughout the morning. Whether you’re visiting for a day on a cruise or staying on the island, it’s a fantastic way to experience the North Sound both above and below the water.
