Great Day with Driver Les - Our driver, Les, was extremely accommodating to the two couples on this tour. He went out of his way to assure that both of our desired itineraries were met, even though he had to do additional driving. He stayed with us the entire time, even including our rest at the West End beach. We went to the animal sanctuary and really enjoyed interacting with the animals. The only deep disappointment was that we are no longer able to have the sloths climb on us. We can only gently touch them. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful photo opportunity between sloths, parrots and monkeys. The zip line experience was wonderful, but a little tiring, since there are a large number of stops during the zip. The beach at West End is truly beautiful and quite a pleasant contrast to one of the beaches we had visited in Costa Maya.

Extraordinary as Usual!!! - Victor and his staff are amazing! There is no two ways about it. This was my 4th visit to Victor Bodden Tours. I started coming here in 2019 with my Husband, we returned again in 2020. In 2023 I brought 4 more family members with me and last week I brought 2 more friends with me. I recommend for anyone coming to Roatan to do excursions with Victor Bodden Tours. You definitely get the bang for your buck. Victor and his crew go out of their way to make your visit SPECIAL every time!!!

A great way to experience Roatan - This is the 3rd time we’ve gone with Victor Borden Tours. Our guide the first time was a great young man named Denry. We request him every time now. He’s like a family member who knows everything about Roatan. And drives the van! VB Tours has a nice variety of tour packages or they’re more than happy to customize a day just for you.

Best guide and friend! - We had the best time ziplining, holding sloths, monkeys, and parrots! Denry, our awesome guide, then took us to the perfect private beach (Henry Morgan’s) where we snorkeled and saw all kinds of sea life, including tons of fish and sea turtles! Denry was the best guide and driver. We will definitely be using Victor Bodden in the future and requesting Denry!

Ziplining, Sloths, and Beach! Amazing! - Isaac was our driver and was waiting for us when we arrived from our cruise ship. My 2 adult daughters, along with another couple, headed to the ziplining experience first. Such a blast and more ziplines than most places offer. We then headed to see the sloths and other animals. Oh gosh, if you've never held a sloth, you must go here! Everybody will have a turn holding a sloth. They are so sweet, and there were even tiny baby sloths! We didn't feel rushed at all with the animals, but when we were ready, Isaac took us to West Bay Beach. It was beautiful there and they even had a pool with plenty of chairs in the shade. It was so relaxing. We spent around 3 hours there and Isaac was back to pick us up and take us back to the port at our agreed upon time. This was a wonderful excursion, and I highly recommend it if you are visiting the beautiful island of Roatan.

Love this Tour in Roatan! - We have been to Victor Bodden’s Animal Sanctuary twice! We loved it so much we came back. The van picks you up at the port and will take you anywhere on the island. We made a stop at the Stone Castle where they make hand made carvings on shells, cameos and lamps, it was beautiful! We then headed to the sanctuary where we got time with a monkey and some beautiful birds on our heads. Then we headed to the sloth 🦥 area! They are so sweet and used to humans they snuggle for a bit and we got sone great pictures! There is more to do there like Ziplines and ATV’s but we didn’t do that. We wanted to do some more sightseeing. We went to Mayak Chocolate and learned how they make it and got some samples! We then took a drive across town to the Roatán Rum factory. After taste tests we chose our favorite and drove to see the beach. 🏖️ George then dropped us back off at the port so we could do some more shopping and head back to the ship. It was awesome!

Nickel and dime after arrival with so many people asking for tips. - The sloth encounter was definitely the highlight. Sloths are so soft and hug you like a teddy bear and don’t move. Loved them so much! The zip line was fun, there are 10 different lines to ziplome down. Did not like how there were 3-4 employees helping just the two of us and then at the end giving a speech and asking for $20 for EACH GUIDE!!! Then when we went to the western bay beach, you have to pay $20 per person to get through the gate and down to the beach. That is not mentioned anywhere beforehand. Not only did everyone we encounter want a tip, but when we got to the beach there were so many peddlers trying to sell us all sorts of things. It was very uncomfortable when all we wanted to do was walk the beach peacefully and lay in our sun chairs. If you go to Roatan, remember every employee wants $20. 🤪😍

Zip line/Sloths/Beach = 5, Wait time/almost missing the cruise ship = 0 - We were SO excited for our Zip N Dip tour after reading so many amazing reviews but I do need to share some items that came up in case it might help others. I'm not sure if we were on an abnormally busy day on the island or what but we were bussed to the sanctuary and had to wait 2 HOURS before even starting anything. We then were put into the zip line gear and had to wait another 20-30 minutes. Finally we did the AMAZING zip line. The waiting = 0 rating. The zip line, animals and beach = 5 rating. Seriously, we are all in LOVE with sloths and they are just wonderful, magical little creatures to hold. The other issue was that our tour guide was not a Bodden one, rather she was an 'independent tour guide' (her words) that they were utilizing for the day. She was wonderful, however a few of the families continually asked when we needed to be dried off as we originally were supposed to be back on the boat around 2:30pm. This was around 3pm and the gangway goes up at 4:30pm. We all decided to dry off and let her know that we were all ready and ended up back on the ship at 4:24. We had SIX MINUTES TO SPARE. This was super stressful (two Type A parents) and definitely frustrating to be told 'don't worry, I'll have you back' when asking about the clock. While it was great to have extra time for the kids at the beach, that close of call to getting back on a cruise ship = 0.

Too much standing around and waiting for checkin and waiting on gear... - The organization of this tour was terrible. We were picked up at the port but had to wait another 45min before leaving for excursion for others...then we get to the ziplining/sloth/monkey area and had to wait another hour to get checked in. Then we were led upstairs to get "geared up" and had to wait another 45min for gear. Organization was absolutely terrible...way too much standing around. Bracelets should be handed out when picked up at the port so that when we arrive at the excursion, we can immediately get started. Our tour guides were great, but all the standing around and waiting did us in. I've ziplined with another tour company in Roatan before and had a MUCH better experience.
