Great walk and knowledgeable pleasant guide - We had a fantastic walk with Louie. We covered about 9 km from downtown’s government buildings, through the botanical gardens, past the funicular, down through nice suburbs, to the university and student ghetto, (saw the dinasaur lizard, and finallly walked around the CBD. Louie was a fantastic guide.not only did he know tons of history , he also taught us lots about the plants. If you only have a day in Wellington I would recommend a 2 1/2 walk with Louie

Great walking tour, --- but tiring for seniors like us. - Louie is an excellent guide. He's very knowledgeable and keeps you interested for the whole time. You'll see a lot of places that would be missed on a bus tour. The Botanical Garden was the highlight for us. Beware however: there is 2.5 hours of walking and half of it is uphill. You need to be in good physical condition to go on this walking tour.

Excellent tour - Our guide, Louis, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and willing to answer any and all questions that we had. Due to a cancellation of another couple on the tour, it was a private tour. But we were not rushed and the tour wasn't shortened because there were only two of us. This was our favorite activity in New Zealand!

Great way to see Wellington - Louis walked us gently to the summit which was a great way to see and hear about the various neighbourhoods rather than take the cable car. We walked through the botanical gardens, had a drink in the cafe at the top, took in the fabulous views and walked down the other side through different neighbourhoods rather than. Louis was a great guide and happy to go at our pace. Highly recommend.

Great day in Wellington with Louis. - Louis led our tour this morning and it was an excellent way to see Wellington and learn so much about the area and New Zealand. We did a lot of walking in this beautiful city but none of it was strenuous. We chatted the whole tour and time flew by. What beautiful views Wellington has to offer. We really enjoyed taking those back streets and then popping out at places we had read about before the tour. How convenient. We took this tour on our second full day in Wellington. We love how we will be able to carry around the knowledge we received.

Fabulous walking tour! - We fully enjoyed our walking tour with Louis. Throughout our walk he covered a wide variety of topics which led us to a deeper understanding of New Zealand: the volcanic history, native flora and fauna, Maori history and culture, the New Zealand government, history/architecture of Wellington and its neighborhoods. Definitely time and money well spent! Thank you, Louis
