Explore the historic waterfront as you cycle around the harbor to the renowned Te Papa Museum (tickets not included). Please be cautious, as this area is shared by cyclists and pedestrians and can become crowded. Continue along the cycle lanes to the beautiful sands of Oriental Bay, then proceed to Evans Bay and the Miramar Peninsula. Travel around the peninsula past Shelly Bay all the way to Scorching Bay (note that this section involves quiet country roads rather than cycle paths). It is highly recommended to enjoy lunch or an ice cream at the Scorch-O-Rama cafe before retracing your route (30km round trip). This journey consists of 60% dedicated cycle lanes or shared paths, with a scenic road winding around the bays from Miramar to Scorching Bay.
