Take the East by West Ferry from Wellington CBD to Days Bay. Upon arrival at Days Bay, you will be greeted at the end of the wharf, provided with eBikes, and given a briefing on the route.

Take the East by West Ferry from Wellington CBD to Days Bay. Upon arrival at Days Bay, you will be greeted at the end of the wharf, provided with eBikes, and given a briefing on the route.
For those interested in a longer journey, there is an optional 25km round trip along flat trails to Pencarrow Lighthouse.
Starting from Days Bay, follow the new shared pathway, Tupua Horo Nuku, along the Eastern Bays, enjoying the scenic, flat coastline. Continue to the Hutt River, then proceed along the Petone foreshore. Be sure to visit the Petone Settlers Museum located on the waterfront, and consider stopping for a meal at Seashore Cabaret. From Petone, join the second shared pathway, Te Ara Tupua, as you cycle around the harbour on this beautiful, newly completed section. Upon reaching Ngauranga, you will follow cycle paths alongside the road into the city, returning to Queens Wharf.
You can return the eBike to the East by West Ferries Office anytime before 3:30 pm. If you arrive early and wish to extend your cycling adventure, exploring the waterfront is highly recommended. Shared paths will guide you along the historic waterfront area, around the harbour to the renowned Te Papa Museum, continuing to the golden sands of Oriental Bay, and further to Evans Bay and the Miramar Peninsula.
