I had an excellent experience - I had an excellent experience at this surf school. I took several lessons with danny, both with a friend and on my own, and each session was professional and tailored to our individual needs. We learned a lot, and Shan was incredibly friendly, patient, and supportive throughout. The pricing was very reasonable, and the quality of the boards was great as well. I would highly recommend this surf school to anyone looking to improve their surfing skills!

Great surf school and surf instructor - I had my first surf lesson (90 minutes). Through the website I got in touch with the surf school via WhatsApp. Danny answered super quickly- great. Meeting point was initially at the hostel. In hindsight it was great, because you could do some dry exercises in the shade. From there we walked a few steps to the beach. We were three rookies. Danny was a great surf instructor – super patient, professional and it was a lot of fun. Accompanied by a colleague who was equally nice. My conclusion strongly recommended.

First and Fun Lesson - We had a very fun and very first surf lesson in Weligama. The lesson was organised well and without any issues. Would recommend everyone to try and dive in 😄

You'll have a blast! - My instructor was very patient and kind, he explained things so well. They were also very accommodating with me as I had food poisoning the day of my booking and allowed me to reschedule for another time. I was able to catch and ride a few waves and felt such an enjoyable experience for my first time. Highly recommend this surf school ☺️🌊

Surf in Weligama - I started as a complete beginner, and Danny helped me reach a level I never expected so quickly. He explained everything really well, pushed me in a positive way, and gave me the confidence you need in surfing. Danny knows exactly how to motivate you and help you grow without ever making you feel overwhelmed. I always felt safe, supported, and encouraged. If you’re looking for a great surf coach who truly helps you improve, Danny is the one.

Great day - We had a surfing lesson with Danny. It was our first time to try surfing and it was great, we really enjoyed it! Have to come back someday for a longer stay. Danny was a great teacher.

Fun day - I had a wonderful experience at this surf school. Danny explained very well and guided my group and I throughout the day. It was my first time surfing and it was so much of fun.

Up and away first wave. - Hostel was a little hard to find, its shown as the meeting place on tje confirmationemsil.. Dont know why is meeting point isn't at the beach. My son had a fabulous time.

Payment is available, no instructor 🙈 Or how to give a school $130 - All in all, it was ok. Not in terms of the way you approach your students. I texted the school on the phone number listed on the website back in October. Danny made contact. Explained everything carefully, arranged by prices and lessons. Then he started actively selling his services, because, he said, "he is more qualified than the others, so lessons cost more with him." Although he actually rolled back two days with me, he sent someone to replace him. We agreed that I would book 8 consecutive days of 2 lessons for a total of 16 lessons ($235, including the number of days of beginner and intermidiate). Went to a meeting, booked without paying in advance, however, on the first day of arrival I rushed to give the money so that classes would be accurate. Outcome: 1 day Danny hung out with me in the ocean (it was definitely the first day, on the rookie waves), no more lessons with me he went out into the ocean. Well, really, thank you for sending in a replacement chela (Sandeep), who tipped me off a bit. And then I was alone (without an instructor at all) hanging out in the ocean. All in all, ok, but the board rent is Rs. 1,000 per hour, and I was charged Rs. 7,000 for an hour and a half (as an intermidia lesson with an advanced instructor🤌). And on December 28, he completely unsubscribed to my question "I'm on vacation"😂 Well, he knew in advance about both the vacation and his absence and still charged me the FULL COST FOR 8 DAYS FOR CLASSES WITH HIM👍 $235)) One day I stepped on a sea urchin. I wrote to Danny that I definitely won't study until New Year's Eve, asked for a refund - payment of 4 days for 2 lessons intermidiat (Rs. 5,000 for 1 lesson). Total 40,000 rupees or $130. Total of 8 days I rolled back 4, missed - 4 (storm, difficult for beginners waves, sick and hedgehog). And if first I asked Danny, "if I don't roll back, can you return it?" he said, "Sure I will", then since December 28 he's just frozen me with answers :) Anyway, when I started digging into him, told him I was leaving soon, and that I needed money, he threw me "I'm not in Weligam." Then he wrote that "actually we don't refund the money, I already paid the teachers..." etc :) I don’t know what he meant or which teachers he paid🤷‍’‍ I didn’t do exactly half the time. They discussed the amount, and on January 5, Danny wrote "I will reach you". I never heard more about him or my $130 :) I hope my money helps him a lot! I don't know why I paid for it all at once, that was my fatal mistake🙈 All right. It happens.
