Living history - An incredible experience. Hundreds of years of history in a fascinating chain which brought us from the pre-Viking era to today’s modern building. Thank you to Niamh for accompanying us on the historical journey.

Best experience in Waterford - I've attended a series of lectures at the Medieval Museum, but also did the walking tour, visited the museum of time, the wake museum and the Bishop's palace. I would have preferred at the Bishop's palace and the wake museum to walk around and explore on my own, but I did really enjoy the tours as well. I love the medieval museum as there is so much to explore, and I could spend an entire week in the museum, and still find things to see. The price is amazing, especially if you're getting the pass. It should however be made clear that the pass is for a year and that you could visit all museums within that year. The light in the wake museum, the museum of time, and the bishop's palace is perfect, but some corners of the medieval museum are a bit dark, and when I took groups they found it hard to see anything at times. I understand that is to protect the exhibits, but it can be a safety risk for less mobile people, and it should perhaps be pointed out that the next room will be a bit darker and an alternative route should be possible and offered. In summer the museum can be very busy, but in winter that isn't an issue. I like visiting in winter for that reason. The staff in all the Waterford Treasures museums are simply amazing, no other way I can put it.

Really engaging and interesting - Wonderful museum, the history of the city is fascinating. I particularly liked the audio visual presentation relating the intense rivalry between Waterford and the port of New Ross. Unfortunately the basement was off limits due to Winterval. I’m looking forward to returning to see it.

Deirdre was wonderful - An incredibly interesting overview of the history of Ireland's oldest city. From the Vikings, to the Normans and keeping out that rogue Cromwell, Deirdre was a wealth of knowledge. It's worth going to see the vestments alone. Thoroughly recommend.
