Check This Off Your Bucket List! Mush On! - Matthew and Liz gave our family of 6 adults a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We learned all about the Iditarod and what it takes to be a musher. We met their 55 Alaskan Huskies. We had an AMAZING 2 mile trail ride in a 2 person sled with Matt, Liz, and their 3rd musher steering 3 teams of 9 dogs each. The dogs were FAST and so happy to pull a sled! The trails thru the forest filled with Fall foliage was truly beautiful. Then we met a litter of Alaskan Husky puppies, and were able to climb in the puppy pen and let them crawl all over us. Nothing beats that experience! The Failors are the real deal and this is an authentic experience, not a tourist trap. The Failors take excellent care of their dogs, and the summer sled tours keep them in shape. Matthew is an Iditarod champion musher with an impressive trophy shelf. You'll have an incredible time, and I recommend Alaskan Husky Adventures very highly.

10 plus stars!! - Wow I would give 10 stars if I could! I definitely recommend coming here if your looking for a great sled dog experience. All the dogs were super friendly! We learned so much about sled dog racing and had an amazing time on the trail! Kacey was our guide and she did amazing, she introduced us to the team, talked about race stories and answered all our questions! Matthew definitely cares about his dogs which meant so much to us to know these dogs are well loved! I will be coming back for sure next year!!!!

MUST DO WHILE IN ALASKA - I was able complete a bucket list item and so happy I did. This was a wonderful experience. Matt was super cool when we had to end the experience early due to illness. If you are in Alaka this is a MUST do experience. Dogs are SO friendly. Motorhead gave kisses.

Great time ♥️ - The guide was great - told us lots about the dogs and mushing, we took the trip around with the dogs. They were beautiful and very sweet. We even were to see puppies 😁. In spite of the weather (heavy rain and mud), we had a great time🤗

Summer dog mushing experience - We had a great time with Matt, Kaci, Dane and Jaren and the dogs. The two person "sleds" were great, we were with 2 other couples, and each couple rode on their own. Watching the loud and excited dogs transform into a focused and silent team was amazing.

A must to experience Alaska - We had a great time at the Alaska Husky Adventures! My son (12yo) and I went on the trip as only 2 people can ride the sleigh-cart at a time. I would say that you have to be a dog lover to enjoy this place. There are over 50 dogs loved and cared for at this working dog-sled farm. As a previous owner of 13 head of deer-running hounds, this place brought back so many memories of the sounds, the smells, the admiration of the dogs, and of course all the work it takes to maintain such a healthy eager pack of dogs. You can appreciate the care and love the owners and workers put into these amazing animals. The ride itself was super fun on a "go-cart" style sleigh through the muddy trails as it had not snowed yet. This part might bother some, however, for me, again, it brought back great memories of mudding through the woods of south Georiga. The acreage and views of the Alaskan woods are amazing as I love to see the spruce and birch trees as well as the boggyness that moose seem to love. The staff were very knowledgable about the experience and the Iditatrod Trail, which they explained the course route and answered many questions on the process and showed the supplies and whatnot that was needed. Overall, I loved to be able to support a small business like this in the wilderness of Alaska, not to mention that we now have a team to support in the Iditrod race as we watch it this year as part of our homeschool learning!
