What an amazing way to spend the afternoon! Kittens everywhere for snuggling and playing!
Really could not have asked for a better time. Everyone was so friendly and, obviously, all the little kittens were amazing.
My grandchildren were enthralled and you all were so helpful . I am waiting to hear about when we can have Giovani and another kitty to keep him company. Please let me know. I would be delighted to come back when you have more kittens. I think you were getting some today. Anne Emmet 1330 30th St. 202 337 1337
We had a great experience. I brought my 14-yo daughter and 3 friends to celebrate her birthday. The staff were wonderful and the kittens so much fun. Thanks for all you do for our feline friends.
From the start to finish, the staff at the pop-up Kitten Lounge were friendly, fun, and welcoming. I loved that they sat all of us down at the beginning of the session to explain the rules of the cafe. One of the things I enjoyed the most was the size of the space since some cat cafes I have been to in the past were quite small. This one had plenty of space for all the guests to move around and interact with the kittens without me feeling like we were going to bump into each other. I loved that there were plenty of toys for us to use and that the staff at the pop-up kitten lounge would actively engage with guests. Lastly, even though I was unable to adopt this time, it was nice to hear about each kitten! Special good wishes to Hal, who my friend and I dubbed the "old man" kitten because of his sad, but wise, face. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our 70 minutes in kitten heaven and would absolutely visit again. We were definitely saying "Awww, man." when the five minute "goodbye warning" was given. To everyone at Crumbs & Whiskers, thank you for all the hard work that you do to support local shelters and provide homes to cats and kittens!
A purrfect place to chill out and relax with some awesome kitties and staff. Book the full 70 minute experience. It's worth it and it goes fast!
So calming great staff and fun
The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive during my visit. The kittens were so much fun and I definitely plan to visit the main site on another trip!
How could any person not enjoy being surrounded by tiny furry bodies mewing, purring, snoring, and looking adorable! Even to just look at the tiny kittens made the stress of the day melt away. I do have several suggestions: "the music was a bit harsh" as it hurt my ears and a couple of kittens who were snoozing jumped up when the music came on after being turned off; I was surprised to see foil strip toys as I was always told not to have foil around kittens and cats; there should be extra vigilance when there are young children around as I caught and stopped a young boy who was shaking one of the kittens to make it dance; and I thought there was too much turnover of humans during my 70-Minute Kitten Extravaganza. The kittens were continuously handled during that time because of the 15-Minute and 30-Minute offerings so that they did not seem to get a break. The opportunity to be able to pet and cuddle with kittens was wonderful especially since pets are not allowed in the building where I live so the 70-Minute Kitten Extravaganza was worth the donation and time.
Absolutely fantastic staff, and the sweetest kitties.
Thank you so much for being so very accommodating and hospitable. You made our day!
We had a wonderful experience! The kittens were amazingly cute and you get a lot of one on one time with them. The staff was also amazing! Engaged with us and told us stories of the kittens! Would definitely go back again!!
The Kitten Lounge was awesome. Checking in was easy, the staff were personable and very helpful. I loved it.
Fantastic staff and cuddly kittens for longer:)
I loved the experience and will definitely repeat it again and again. The staff were great and accommodating and the kittens are the cutest.
I expected the kittens to be younger and there be more considering the number of people that were in the "session". They were mainly sleeping and not that playful. It would have been nice to get an email to let the patrons know what the kittens' ages would be before scheduling. Also, the cookie and food choices were limited. It would have been nice to have craft coffee as well. Maybe pair with compass coffee to have decaf options and not charge for fountain water or offer bottled water. That seemed kind of penny-pinching when I would have much rather donated that money on my own and had a water fountain or something to accompany the caffeinated drinks. Diet coke would also have been a nice option to have as well.
KITTENS KITTENS KITTENS and the staff and cookie dough were amazing too <3
Great time! Carpets were a little dirty, but I get that comes with the territory. Constant Swiffering would be a plus. Otherwise, great work for a great cause!
Loved our experience!!! Honestly nothing negative to say. We had an amazing time and i'm glad the 70 minute window was an option - this was a great amount of time to have. Maybe I missed it but clothing advice may be helpful. like to wear shoes w/ socks to keep the pillow clean / fresh. Also, please switch to paper straws! I thought it was standard in DC but maybe not yet? That'd be great! I look forward to going back in the future. :)
The staff was lovely! And the space was great. I think the only “downside” (if I could even call it that) was one of the other patrons. She was really loud and demonstrative about her love of cats (okay lady that doesn’t make you special - we are literally all in a kitten pop up lounge paying money to pet kittens on a Friday night - we are all literally the definition of cat obsessed), and she kept laying down (like full on stretching out) in the same space we were sitting. It happened enough times (she was just migrating following the cats) that we started joking about it. It was a little uncomfortable, but I don’t know how you could even solve for that without just assigning “areas” like at a restaurant. But overall, that’s nothing you all can control. Again, the staff was so great and I want my house to look exactly like the lounge.
The attentive staff and knowing the (now very spoiled) kittens are going to forever homes made this experience totally worth it. He added exposure gives these kittens such a leg up on getting adopted. Wish there were a senior cat cafe. Seriously though, the staff is awesome and they were part of the awesome experience.
