I thought Christian was a great tour guide, but food was actually a bit disappointing. Especially the food at Ankara restaurant wasn't up to scratch - meat was hard and seasoning was poor. Not many places we will go back to which is a shame as we love our food tours and we love discovering new flavors as part of them!

I called and spoke to a woman about this, but have yet to hear back from her as she said she would contact me. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable. However, he did not seem to have a grasp on what was happening. The 4th stop did not even happen. The owner/manager never got in touch with our guide and we skipped it totally. However, when walking by, there were plenty of people inside eating ice cream (Larry's ice cream shop??). We went to some olive oil store for an olive oil tasting a wine. The manager "Niko" was not there so the cashier simply read us the names of the olive oil and balsamic vinegar (after they sat us upstairs in the sweltering heat in some loft - and we finally came down). The cashier grabbed a bottle of Rose off the shelf and served it to us in little plastic cups (almost like dental cups). Rose is meant to be served chilled. I walked outside at that point. The friend I was with said the young people touring with us (and not in our group) tipped the guide $20. I would be appalled if the guide hinted for a tip. I hope he did not. This was horrible. I took a Capitol Hill tour earlier this year and it was fabulous. I'm waiting to hear back from your company as I truly feel we should be compensated for this. I truly hate saying all of this, but it was just terrible. Eva Bunney 703-966-1381

The event was disorganized, the guide was getting non-stop text messages with changes in plans during the tour, and the last place we went the host was a no-show and we were put in an attic that was very hot, waited around, and then were told we would not have the scheduled presentation. we were given some warm wine in small plastic dixie cups like the kind you have in a bathroom or the dentist office, and we just sort of stood around doing nothing. The guide was very nice but scattered. This was nothing like the previous food tour we took which was fantastic.
