Highlight of our DC trjp! - One of the highlights of our trip! Our tour guide Avery was wonderful. We got to try wonderful donuts and learned alot of fun facts and donut history. It was nice to be able to see other neighborhoods in the city that we otherwise would not have known to look for. We would definitely book again next time we find ourselves in a new city to explore.

DC donut tour - off beaten path - We loved our tour guide Sam's sense of humor, the tidbits of DC lore and factoids, and we are fans of Sam herself. We appreciated the breadth of donut choices between classics and not-as-well known donuts. We also liked being able to take in DC in down-tourism season. January and February. If you're willing to handle DC cold, Underground Donut tour is a much more relaxed experience.

Fun experience, even for "locals". - I'm a recent transplant to the DMV area and received a voucher for this tour as a holiday gift. It lasts about 1hr30min, though our group was on the smaller side, and involves a little over 1.8 miles of walking through central DC. Pay no heed to the TripAdvisor Itinerary—that's not where Chinatown is at all. The donuts themselves were quite good. You'll be able to try: 1. a conventional style of American donut, albeit with seasonal flavors, at Astro Donuts & Fried Chicken. Great breakfast spot, by the way. 2. bomboloni from Piccolina da Centrolina. Excellent; cinnamon French toast translated into donut form. 3. the "Suga Suga" donuts at Bantam King. Made fresh to order and tossed in sugar and roasted soy flour. Reminiscent of funnel cake, oddly enough. 4. another take on bomboloni from Stellina Pizzaria. No custard filling this time, but it does come with a hazelnut dipping sauce.

Okay, not great. Wouldn’t spend the money again. - A little overpriced for what you got. Our guide was very nice. We had 4 donut stops, so there were plenty of sweets, just nothing memorable. Very little history of the area and none of the donut shops seemed to have much history themselves.
