- National Mall - The expansive, grassy National Mall hosts iconic landmarks such as the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. At its eastern end stands the domed U.S. Capitol, with the White House to the north. The area is also bordered by Smithsonian museums, and its lawns and pathways are frequently bustling with school groups, joggers, and softball teams. Nearby, the Tidal Basin reservoir is famous for its blooming cherry trees.
There will be some free time to enjoy lunch.
- U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial - A tribute to the Marine Corps members who have died since 1775, featuring six soldiers holding the United States flag. This memorial is inspired by Joe Rosenthal’s photograph from the Battle of Iwo Jima.
- Lincoln Memorial - A monument designed as a Greek temple, dedicated to the 16th President of the United States.
- Vietnam Veterans Memorial - A black granite wall inscribed with the names of soldiers who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.
- Korean War Veterans Memorial - Features 19 stainless steel statues representing a patrol squad from the Korean War and a 50-meter polished granite wall with engraved faces of soldiers and personnel who served in the war.
- White House - We will approach as closely as possible to capture photos of the residence of the President of the United States.
- U.S. Capitol - We will get as near as possible to the headquarters of the United States Congress for photo opportunities.
- Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast - We will explore the main avenue of Washington, where the incoming President parades after taking the oath. This avenue is home to significant buildings such as the FBI, the Department of Commerce, the National Archives, the Canadian Embassy, and more.

Fun American Historical Tour - It was an amazing experience and our English speaking Columbia Native Tour guide did a wonderful job informing us of everything that we passed by and was stated on the itinerary. The only complaint I would have is the ride back was a little warm. It was partly my fault because I didn’t ask them to turn on the AC to give us airflow in the bus, but is something I recommend and suggest they always have going on in the heat of the summer nights with a bus full of people. I would definitely recommend this bus tour and company as the tour guides both Spanish and English and the bus driver made the tour easy to understand, gave new historical information and it allowed us to get out of the hustle of NYC for the day to experience rich American culture.

Great Trip - Here’s a polished review you could post:
We had a fantastic day trip to Washington, DC. If you’re deciding which departure to book, I’d definitely recommend the 06:00 departure rather than the 08:00. The longer 15-hour day gives you much more time to enjoy the city without feeling rushed.
A top tip is to buy your lunch at the first stop. The guides will probably recommend this anyway, and it saves valuable sightseeing time later in the day.
Our two guides were excellent throughout. They were friendly, knowledgeable and, most importantly, kept everyone on schedule while still allowing enough time to enjoy each stop. We managed to see everything we had hoped to see, including all the major landmarks, and still had time to visit the Smithsonian, which was a real highlight.
Overall, it was a very well-organised trip and excellent value. If you only have a day to spare from New York and want to experience Washington, DC, I’d highly recommend it.

Washington DC Tour with Intertravel.com - The tour plan was really great and well executed. The tour guides (Carlos) was very informative and helpful. The day was quite busy but got to see all we needed. The bus was clean and felt safe at all times. Carlos always made sure all people were satisfied and happy with their experiences. He has a wealth of historical knowledge about the US political and wartime history. I learnt a lot !

It’s a long ride, we... - It’s a long ride, we don’t get to see the chasing of the guard, many of the monuments like the White House and Lincoln Memorial were under construction, we do not know it would be a bilingual tour. It would be better to have different guides do the Spanish English on the bus as well. It was hard to understand even the English guide though she was great and knowledgeable.

Washington day trip - The tour overall was good but some parts were a bit unorganised and it was hard to communicate with the tour company before the tour started. The initial tour I booked departed early but I received a message telling me that tour was canceled and I needed to go on a later one. I tried many times to communicate with the company and only received confirmation the night before the tour for the change.
The new tour they put us on was good but rushed and ended up being an extremely long day. We didn’t get back to New York until after midnight. We knew there was a lot of driving involved but we feel if the tour was a bit more organised and left early as originally stated we would have returned at a better time.
Regardless, Tanya the tour guide was lovely and did her best to help everyone.
