I took the Georgetown food tour a few months ago and had a wonderful time. The food was great and you could tell the restaurants wanted to provide a great experience which made me want to go back. The Georgetown Guide was as equally wonderful and provided a lot of interesting facts along our walk. Things that I wondered how she would have known. I was so excited to give my parents the same experience in Leesburg but this was not the case. We walked to one restaurant which did served the most interesting food but then we walked back to where the tour began and the next 3 places were in the same spot. The second restaurant served a half sandwich with a few Brussels sprouts. The food was good but this restaurant is known for great food so a deli sandwich was very disappointing. I'm not even going to talk about the 3rd restaurant and the bakery was equally disappointing. I could barley get a cup of coffee. I know there are a lot of wonderful restaurants in Leesburg so was really disappointed. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the few stops that she made she provided a lot of info she just didn't go above and beyond like my guide in Georgetown. Over all I think the money spent in Georgetown was money well spent. I don't mean to be harsh but I feel like I was ripped off in Leesburg.

We were not impressed with all the food selections at each stop - felt they should have been more unusual and/or representative of the chef's training/influence (does not apply to second stop - Light foot! While our guide Christian was as nice as could be and seemed to have a lot of facts at his disposal, the walk from place to place was devoid of any narrative and the conversation at each restaurant was between the participants. We would have like to know about history of Leesburg, the background of the chef's training. We would have liked to know what made this tour specifically Leesburg.
