U.S. Capitol - Inside the U.S. Capitol:
Visitors pass through security, take a brief break, view the orientation film, and then participate in the official guided tour with headsets. Commonly visited rooms include the Crypt, Rotunda, and National Statuary Hall; occasionally, the Old Supreme Court or Old Senate Chambers are included. The Rotunda fresco “The Apotheosis of Washington” is 180 feet above the floor; the Crypt was initially intended for Washington’s burial.
