• Bells Beach - Renowned as Australia’s most famous surf break, Bells Beach’s impression depends on today’s conditions and ocean swell. If the swell is small, the waves may barely break, and surfers might be absent.
• Cape Otway Lightstation - A must-visit on the Great Ocean Road journey, this lighthouse is considered Australia’s most important. After turning, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the Lighthouse arrival center. Take time to drive slowly and spot koalas along the way.
• Bay of Islands - The Bay of Islands is surprisingly impressive. A short trail from the car park splits into two paths leading to viewing areas facing fully south and fully north, offering a fantastic two-for-one view with different perspectives.
• Erskine Falls - The first lookout is about 80 meters along and offers a lovely view of the falls’ base. The sign indicates 220 meters more, but be aware of the steep stairs down and back up.

It’s manageable for most, but those with mobility challenges might prefer the upper lookout. Enjoy the experience.

• Memorial Arch at Eastern View - Approaching the Memorial Arch, a parking area is visible immediately on the right. The arch was constructed after the Great Ocean Road’s completion.
• Port Campbell - Sightseeing in this coastal area is divided into two parts: the eastern and western sides of Port Campbell. On the eastern side, two must-see stops are the 12 Apostles viewing platforms and Loch Ard Gorge.
• Split Point Lighthouse - Even for those not particularly fond of lighthouses, the views are stunning, and the “split” in Split Point is visible.
• The Grotto - This spot is favored for its proximity to the formation and ease of including oneself in photos. Stairs lead to the best vantage point and back up.
• Torquay - Entering a new phase of the Great Ocean Road drive, this section between Apollo Bay, Lorne, and Torquay was the most challenging to construct. The story of its construction will be revisited throughout the journey.
