Liam was an excellent... - Liam was an excellent guide! He provided great local historical and cultural insight into the food and market area, and even into aspects of architecture, that enriched our understanding and perspective as we explore Taipei. Highly recommended activity for your first night in Taiwan! The food was excellent and I am glad we got to try many things we likely would have missed on our own.

Great way to try Taiwanese food! - What a great tour! I thought this was a fantastic way to try out some Taiwanese street food and learn more about Taiwanese culture. Our guide, Cyndi, was so much fun! I went on my own and ended up in a group of about 7 which was perfect. I would 100% recommend this tour and would love to come back with friends!

Night Market Food Tour - Alejandra was an amazing food tour guide. Her point of view of being a foreigner (from Colombia) who now lives in Taiwan offered very valuable insights in the life and culture of the Taiwanese people through the food scene in the night market. She took us to a variety of food places, one of which was a Michelin star restaurant, Wang's Broth. The food was delicious and the people in my tour group were engaging, which made it more fun. I highly recommend this food tour, especially my tour guide Alejandra.

Fun, informative, well organized - The Night Market and Convenience Store tour was fun, informative, and well organized. Our tour guide, Sunny Huang, contacted us beforehand via WhatsApp to confirm the meeting place and sent us a useful link to google maps so we could not miss. We first toured the Huaxi Street Night Market, which was just a short walk from the MRT Longshan Temple Station. Our first stop and an early highlight was the Oyster Omelette stand. Sunny took great care to explain the preparation of the different foods and their significance in local culture. She also gave her explanations a personal touch by telling us about her own experiences and memories associated with the food items. You could tell that she loved what she was doing and that she herself enjoyed each and every item we tasted. The braised pork rice, the scallion pancake and especially the peanut & ice cream wrap were our personal favorites. Afterwards Sunny even sent us photos she took during the tour. Sunny was an enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable guide who made the tour truly memorable.

Great guide but underwhelming food tour - Overall, this was one of the weaker food tours I’ve been on. Sunny was great, knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. She did a good job keeping the group together and sharing context along the way. However, the tour itself felt poorly curated. The food selection leaned toward basic snacks, and the overall quality and variety wasn't great. I was expecting a more thoughtful introduction to Taipei’s food scene. I’d also caution anyone with dietary restrictions. I’m not vegetarian, but I do avoid certain meats, and there was very little flexibility or effort to provide alternatives. It didnt feel very inclusive. Overall, while the guide was a highlight, the tour itself fell short of expectations.
