• Sandwich Harbour - After meeting in Swakopmund, we drive to Walvis Bay, where we rendezvous with our Walvis Bay guests half an hour later. We then proceed past the Salt Mine to the beach, heading towards the Dune belt at Sandwich Harbour, where the sea meets the dunes. Here, we ascend the towering dunes for some adrenaline-pumping moments and breathtaking views. The journey includes navigating steep slip faces and climbing tall dunes in an exhilarating dune drive. You will follow our guide in your own vehicle, receiving assistance and driving tips via radio communication. Please ensure your vehicle is adequately insured and that you have permission from your car rental company to enter Sandwich Harbour. After the dune drive, we return to Walvis Bay to inflate the tires and then head back to your accommodation. It’s an incredible experience. Please note that the price is for one vehicle, including two persons. Additional vehicles and persons will incur extra charges. If your car rental company does not permit their vehicle to enter Sandwich Harbour, you can rent one from us for an additional fee.

• Walvis Bay Esplanade - The tour officially begins at the Walvis Bay Esplanade. Here, we observe the flamingos and deflate our tires. We share experiences and learn about each other’s vehicles. We then pass the pink salt lakes of the Salt Mine, head to the beach, and approach the towering dunes, following the same route as our Sandwich Harbour dune drive.

• This experience requires a minimum number of participants, if this is not met we will offer you another time slot/ date or full refund.
• Your vehicle should be as light as possible and fueled up at the start of Tour. Leave any extra water cans and jerry can at home.
• This Self drive tour is not available to Cruise liner Guests
• If you have a car rental car please ensure you have their permission to use their car in Sandwich Harbour
• If you have your own vehicle please ensure that it is adequately insured

• Please note German guides are limited and we do not have the capacity to give everyone a German guide, These will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Please note we can not guarantee a German guide on every tour!!
• Please make sure your vehicle is equipped with all the necessary tools to enter the dunes, A spare tyre, equipment to change your tyre if needed etc
