Each participant is equipped with a life jacket, and the guide offers instruction on kayak use. No prior experience is necessary.
The adventure continues with an unforgettable Dune Tour, a highlight of any visit to Namibia. The tour explores the unique area where the dunes meet the sea, a constantly changing yet serene and relaxing environment. Participants will witness incredible wildlife and thousands of seabirds thriving in these harsh conditions. The tour includes exhilarating drives up towering dunes to breathtaking viewpoints, all led by skilled and knowledgeable guides.
Along the way, guests will see thousands of pink flamingos and pelicans in the Ramsar Walvis Bay Wetland. The route also passes by Africa’s largest evaporation pond salt mine, known for its striking pink salt waters.

Highly recommend! Ask for Le Clue as your guide - We had an absolute blast today with Le Clue. He’s super knowledgeable and a fun guy to hang out with. We saw so many seals and driving over de dunes was great fun. The lunch provided was tasty and Luca is the best little helper we could’ve asked for. If we had more time in Swakopmund we’d definitely book a tour with Le Clue again.

Fantastic Day Out - All was perfect! Leclue was so knowledgable and happy to answer all our questions. He was also a fantastic driver on the dunes and made it really fun for us. Can’t fault the trip :)

Joyful and mesmerising day out! - My family (husband and 2 kids, 11 & 8) spent the best day with Leclue.
We stared with sea kayaking - the 5 month old seals are the most heart warming creatures imaginable, they’re like cute puppies popping up everywhere with endless fascination of us.
We stopped at the salt pans and ended the day with the dune driving. We felt safe throughout this - Leclue is a great driver and is a walking encyclopaedia!
We had substantial snacks at 11.30 then more good food at 2.30 ish for lunch - whilst watching whales and dolphins in the sea.
If you do anything while you’re here then this tour is a must!

Great morning out! - We were traveling with little kids and grandparents, and LeClue took great care of us! Really awesome experience and highly recommend for all ages!

Awesome day! Do it! - Fantastic day with our guide Le Clue. Very knowledgeable, helpful and happy to answer all our questions. Door to door service made the day very easy. Stopped by small flock of juvenile flamingos, explained salt mining process, kayaking with Cape Fur Seals was so fun. Easy paddle not far off shore. Followed by generous morning tea of sandwiches before heading to the dunes of Sandwich Harbour. Was exhilarating driving through the dunes which delighted the teenage sons. Felt totally safe, Le Clue is an expert driver, engaging and entertaining host. Another generous lunch in the dunes before heading back to Swakopmund.

Kayak - the guide Le Clue was perfectly prepared, he gave us a lot of information about the attractions, and was also happy to answer questions about the Namibians and their lives.

I have seen and learned a lot in one day....amazing - We were guided by Le Clux Louw who have taken us on a amazing day out. WHAT A EXPERIENCE!!. Le Clux 's knowledge of the surroundings were amazing and his dune driving abilities are right up there. This trip is a absolutely must and value for money

An unforgettable day in Walvis Bay with guide Le Clue! - We had an amazing day trip in Walvis Bay guided by Le Clue from Sandwich Harbor Tours. From online booking to confirmation to pick up and drop off, every step was smooth. Le Clue was very knowledgeable and passionate about the unique animals living in the Bay, he is also an expert 4x4 jeep driver and kayaking guide. We were “surfing” over the unimaginable vast sand dunes that extend 400 miles along the coast line, and watched dancing flamingos, and countless seals that playing on shore or swimming with kayaks. It was an unforgettable 7 hour tour, we only wish we could stay longer! Thank you Le Clue and your team.

Best day tour from Walvis - Absolutely loved this tour! We had such a great time with LeClue and his son Luca!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This tour includes everything you need to see in Walvis with sea kayaking with hundreds of seals and dune driving in sandwich harbour.
This is a small if not private tour of the area. LeClue has lots of interesting knowledge regarding the dunes and the wildlife. I learned a lot! Driving the dunes was incredible- but you absolutely need a guide to do it!! Will be impossible to drive on your own to find the “roads” and popular dunes. LeClue was a very safe driver and yet we still had a lot of fun on the steeper dunes. The food included for breakfast and lunch was excellent and the meal setups along the beach and dunes were beautiful!
LeClue brought his son Luca along with us and it honestly made everything more fun! Such a funny and friendly kid. Leclue even had small bottles to collect sand as a keepsake. Overall, the tour was 100% worth the price and I’d highly recommend it.

An Unforgettable Namibia Experience - Our tour guide, LeClue Louw, was one of the best we’ve ever had. He was friendly, a skilled driver and extremely knowledgeable. Ask for him if you can.
We kayaked with seals and drove through huge sand dunes. We have sand dunes at home, but nothing compared with these. We saw a variety of animals, birds, pelicans, and flamingos. We also stopped at Africa’s largest evaporation-pond salt mine, its pink waters made for great pictures.
We highly recommend this for anyone wanting to see the very best of Walvis Bay in one incredible day.
A mid-morning snack, lunch and refreshing drinks were included, which was a nice added touch.
