- Lawrence’s Spring - This natural spring, named after the iconic film shot here in the early 1960s, has been a vital stop since Nabatean times on caravan routes from Arabia to the Levant. The nearest water source beyond the Rum area is 40km away. Although a pipe now channels the water down, the winding road once used to lead livestock to drink directly from the spring is still visible.
- Sand Dunes Area - Climbing these massive sand dunes takes five minutes, while descending takes just five seconds, making it a must-see highlight for Wadi Rum visitors. The smooth red sand and the dramatic backdrop of Jebel Nasraniyah and Jebel Umm Ishrin’s sheer cliffs create a perfect setting for photography.
- Wadi Rum Protected Area - Anfeshiyeh Inscriptions: This collection of Nabatean inscriptions was carved to mark routes and provide signals to travelers. Some indicate the area’s water sources, while others warn of various dangers. Additionally, some inscriptions celebrate the winners of the winter camel races that once circled this mountain.
- Wadi Rum Protected Area - Lawrence’s House: Before Lawrence’s time, Bedouins sought refuge from wind and bandits in this ancient Nabatean station, located on the caravan route from Hijaz to Petra and Damascus. It offers breathtaking views across the expansive valley floor to Jebel Raqqa.
- Wadi Rum Protected Area - The “Mushroom Stone”: This uniquely-shaped sandstone formation has a base eroded by time and the elements. Nearby, hidden among the rocks, is an old nook carved centuries ago by Bedouins, used for storing food in the desert.
- Wadi Rum Protected Area - Enjoy a traditional Bedouin lunch in the desert, prepared by our guides.
- Um Frouth Rock Arch - Situated atop Jebel Burdah, this magnificent rock bridge is the largest in Wadi Rum. While visible from the valley below, it requires a 2 1/2 hour climb to see it up close. Hikers consider it one of the most rewarding trips in Wadi Rum.
- Wadi Rum Protected Area - Umm Fruth Arch: Rum’s most-visited arch, Umm Fruth, is arguably its most picturesque, with a rugged overhang of bright white rock. Visitors can challenge their fear of heights on the short climb to the top.
- Wadi Rum Protected Area - Abu Khashaba Canyon: This canyon offers a breathtakingly beautiful landscape and is one of our absolute favorites. Beyond the fig tree at its entrance, the hike up the canyon involves scrambling over boulders, climbing sand dunes, and reaching a spectacular view at the top.
- Wadi Rum Protected Area - Barra Canyon: Enjoy an hour-long walk through the stunning Barra Canyon, one of our absolute favorite spots.
- Wadi Rum Protected Area - To conclude our tour, we’ll watch the sunset from a picturesque location and return to Wadi Rum village in the early evening.
