• Petra - Wadi Musa - Begin your day with an early morning departure from the hotel, heading south to the Nabatean Red Rose City of Petra, a renowned Wonder of the World, for a classic tour. This ancient city, carved into a sandstone valley by the Nabataean people over 2,000 years ago, is located 245 kilometers from Amman at the intersection of historic trade routes, dominating ancient Arabia. Upon reaching Petra’s main site, delve into its fascinating history. Upon arrival, leave your vehicle and embark on a 2-hour guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site with a local expert.
• Siq - Start by walking through the renowned “Siq,” a 1.2-kilometer narrow path; a rock fissure that served as the main entrance to the city, and be captivated by your first view of the stunning Treasury “El - Khazneh.”
• Al-Khazneh - As the canyon suddenly opens up, admire this rose-pink marvel, originally constructed to store invaluable treasures, and capture it on camera. Then, continue through the expanding canyon to see other landmarks such as the 3,000-seat Theater, the Royal Tombs, and the Byzantine Church. As you explore, your guide will explain how the Nabateans carved these structures and how they adapted to the challenging desert environment to thrive here. After approximately two hours of exploration, enjoy some free time. If time allows, you can climb to the Monastery on your own or visit the High Place of Sacrifice: a clifftop altar once used for animal sacrifices and other ceremonies.
