- Moldovita Monastery - Moldovita Monastery, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1993, was constructed between 1532 and 1537. For centuries, these murals served as the primary means for the uneducated rural population to learn about Biblical teachings. The frescoes provide a vivid, colorful depiction of Biblical scenes, tailored to reflect the local history and significant events in the community’s life.
- Sucevita Monastery - Sucevita Monastery, the most recent addition to the Painted Monasteries of Bukovina, was also included in the UNESCO Heritage list in 1993. Built in the Moldavian architectural style with Gothic and Byzantine influences, its murals are predominantly green, achieved through an ancient method using natural pigments.

Amazing tour - This was an amazing day and a highlight of our trip. Leo is a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable; it was a pleasure to spend the day with him.
The monasteries are gorgeous and are definitely worth the visit.I highly recommend using Rolandia for this tour

Enjoyable tour in painted monasteries! - I want to thank the company Rolandia for choosing Leo for the tour of the painted monasteries as he transported us safely not only as a guide but also as a guide. He's very prosperous, professional with great knowledge! It was there for us to satisfy all the needs of everyone but also of each individual! Incredible tour and outstanding guide - We had an absolutely amazing experience on the day trip from Iași to the Painted Monasteries in Bucovina, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Leo.
From the very beginning, Leo was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He shared fascinating historical and cultural insights at every stop, making each monastery come alive in a way that you simply wouldn’t get on your own. His passion for the region was truly contagious.
The trip was perfectly organized, relaxed, and enjoyable throughout. Leo made sure everyone felt comfortable, answered all our questions with patience, and even added personal touches that made the experience feel special and authentic.
Bucovina is absolutely stunning, and having such a dedicated and enthusiastic guide made it unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Leo.

An unforgettable experience thanks to an exceptional guide! - We had the chance to make an expedition with a guide to the beautiful monasteries around Iași, and I can only recommend this experience 100%!
The places themselves are superb, steeped in history, spirituality and striking architectural beauty. But what really made this tour exceptional was our guide. He was not only extremely competent, with an impressive knowledge of local history, art and traditions, but also incredibly kind, caring and passionate.
His precise and anecdotal explanations brought real added value to the visit. Thanks to him, every monastery came alive before our eyes: it was not only a series of beautiful buildings, but a deep cultural and historical immersion.
I highly recommend this expedition to anyone passing through Iași or the area. It is a unique and enriching way to discover the treasures of Romania, accompanied by a professional and warm guide.

Highly Recommend! - One of the main reasons we went to Iasi, was to do the Rolandia tour company's Moldova tour, but since we were in this area, we signed up for this tour as well. Leo (Leonard) was our guide, and again he was fantastic. This trip was a lot of driving, but it was really interesting seeing the Romanian countryside and small villages as we whizzed by. Seeing the Stork nests on the street posts throughout the drive was also a pleasant surprise. The three monasteries that we visited were well worth the trip. My favorite was the first stop, but they were all interesting. Leo told us a lot about each of them and made sure we understood as much as possible about each of the monasteries and their artwork. We also stopped at a high point with a neat wooden swing overlooking the countryside, and for lunch in a nice restaurant. We did this trip the day after the Moldova trip- again, two long days, but a very perfect way to see this part of the world.

The experience in the... - The experience in the monasteries was unforgettable. The guide was excellent. He described in detail the meaning and value of the frescoes painted outside and inside the monasteries. I recommend this tour with a closed eye.
