Great experience that I... - Great experience that I would recommend. Going to the market and then cooking the fresh ingredients was very fun and well-leaded by the chef! I was the only vegetarian one this day but the chef made sure that my food didn't touch any meat or even that I wasn't near it in a very thoughtful way. Don't hesitate to go in you want to experience Vietnamese cuisine!

An Authentic Vegetarian Cooking Experience in Hanoi - We booked a vegetarian cooking class in Hanoi that included a market visit, and we absolutely loved it. Our guide didn’t just explain the ingredients but also shared a lot about Vietnamese cuisine and culture, which made the experience feel very authentic. The market visit was especially interesting, as we gained insights you wouldn’t normally get as a tourist. The cooking class itself was well organized, relaxed, and the food we prepared was absolutely delicious. A wonderful experience that we can highly recommend—especially for anyone who wants to truly understand Vietnamese food and culture.

Warm, Insightful, and Delicious from Start to Finish - Everything about this class was great! Chef Jesse guided our small group (just five of us) through the local market, explaining how to select fresh ingredients in preparation for a mix of omnivorous, vegetarian, and traditional dishes. With warmth and a sense of humor, he answered our questions about dining and food culture in Hanoi, often drawing connections to our own experiences eating around the city. Back in the kitchen, Jesse clearly and simply walked us step-by-step through making papaya salad, spring rolls, pho, and two styles of Vietnamese coffee, making sure everyone participated throughout. Trained as a chef in Australia, his instruction was both professional and approachable. Given how central food is to life in Hanoi, it was especially meaningful to learn these staple dishes along with a bit of their culinary history and the distinctions between Northern and Southern styles. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a deeper appreciation of Vietnamese cuisine!
