Hanoi - Huu Lung: Khe Dau Waterfall & Noong Dung Lake

Huu Lien - At 7:00 AM, transportation will collect you in Hanoi. After a 2.5-hour journey, you will reach Huu Lien commune in Lang Son province. Accommodation is provided at a local homestay of the Tay tribe, nestled in a quaint village surrounded by mountains and rice fields. Upon checking in and relaxing, enjoy a lunch at the homestay featuring delectable dishes crafted from local ingredients.

At 2:00 PM, a local guide will escort you to Khe Dau Waterfall, a natural cascade hidden within the primeval forest. You will travel by car or bicycle to the trip’s starting point, then embark on a trek through the Huu Lien Nature Reserve. The 1.5 km trail takes you through grasslands, dense forests, and unique limestone formations characteristic of Northeast Vietnam. Enjoy a swim at the falls and refresh in the cool, invigorating water. Afterwards, follow another trail back to Nong Dung Lake.

At 5:30 PM, return to the homestay to relax. Dinner will be served outdoors, featuring renowned Lang Son dishes. Overnight stay at the homestay.

Explore Dong Lam Valley - Lan Dat Village – Return to Hanoi

Huu Lien - After breakfast at Mai’s House, a local guide will lead you to Dong Lam Valley, a remarkable destination with a landscape that transforms with the seasons.

During the rainy season (July to October), the entire grassland becomes a 100-hectare natural infinity “swimming pool.” Explore the valley on a 2-3 hour raft trip. In the dry season (November to June), Dong Lam Valley is adorned with lush green grass and herds of freely roaming horses. You can cycle through the valley and engage in activities such as camping and horseback riding.

At the end of Dong Lam Valley, begin a trekking adventure to Lan Dat, a “forgotten” village nestled deep in the mountains, featuring traditional stilt houses of the Dao tribe. Trek through the forest for 1-1.5 hours to reach this picturesque village. Lunch will be served in the homes of local residents.

At 1:30 PM, return to Dong Lam where transportation will take you back to Hanoi, arriving around 4:00 PM.
