Very enjoyable experience. The flight was hot & bumpy- but very authentic. Good communication before & after; and more importantly competent professionals running everything. I’d highly recommend it.
Once in a lifetime experience! Great job!
had a great time . i will see you guys around Christmas for a night flight.
Everyone did a great job it's a great piece of history and so glad to be a part of it.
Very knowledgeable and welcoming staff, and unique experience. 10/10 would do it again.

very professional & well done. Allowing us to view the aircraft on the ground and being in close proximity to the cockpit were highlights - as well as the signatures of the folks that were veterans of flying in that era.
Plane was in very nice condition, ride was smooth, and very professional crew.
The entire team at Greatest Generation Aircraft were extremely professional and friendly. The flight was so much fun with great views of our beautiful city. I highly recommend the experience!
Super friendly and accommodating. Flight was fun and exciting. Took my 9 and 18 year old kids and they both had a blast. Flying around cowboys stadium and the view in general was amazing. Even on one of the hottest days it was tolerable once we were in flight. Pilots were top notch. Takeoff and landing were better than most commercials flights I've been on!
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Airplane has been beautifully and lovingly restored by a group of dedicated volunteers who welcome you and make you feel very comfortable with flying in a 75-year-old airplane. The pilots are very experienced and also very knowledgeable about the aircraft, flying, and the place it served in our history. Got to do this with my son who's at the Air Force Academy and we would both do it again in a heartbeat.
The volunteers working we helpful and enthusiastic. Even though the weather was hot we were fully informed about staying hydrated to prevent air sickness, and water was provided. We thoroughly enjoyed the flight and wished it could have been a little longer.
Every thing was just perfect. And my Dad (and Mom) was thrilled with the specoal recognition he got for being a veteran. 1A experience!
every step in this adventure went smoothly, From check-in to boarding, picture taking, take-off (wow), to letting us wander around the plane while in flight. The pilots were patient and very helpful answering questions and telling us about the history of the plane. A very patriotic team of sincere volunteers.
GREAT Father's Day gift for my Dad! He is a former Flight Navigator on the C-130 in the Air Force. One for the books... he's still talking about it! I am pretty much daughter of the year!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this flight!! It's fun and the crew is AWESOME!!
I'm a history buff. What more could one ask for. Wonderful. Will be back for Christmas flight.
It was a great experience for Grandfather, his two son's and a grandson. A wonderful family experience!
We had a great time! Everyone was very friendly, helpful and full of knowledge! We will be coming back again!!
The only problem I had was finding the place. First the address sent me would not come up in my GPS or the map program on my computer. I was coming from Dallas & once I found the building, the directions said to go in the main entrance which I figured was on the left. No one in there knew where to go. There were no signs showing where to go. Going back to my car, I saw another entrance on the right & it was the place. The flight was great & everyone was nice.
Its a ww2 aircraft still flying. Do you need another reason
Everyone was so passionate about what they do and it really made the experience much more enjoyable! Definitely recommend!
Thank you for preserving history and giving us the chance to relive it! Friends and relatives served in WWII, flew C47s and stormed Omaha .. So the experience was emotional to say the least .. Please continue to preserve this amazing piece of history ! We support your mission! Would love to hear more history about the plane on future rides. How many flew in Normandy ? How much and how many she carried ? How many are left ? How much to restore? Where she came from ? How many missions this plane flew ? Is this the only C47 you have for tours ? Etc .. David - thank you for everything you did to make us welcome ! We enjoyed meeting you and going behind the scenes after the flight ! Thank you again and bless you all for what you do ! See you 7/4! well organized, professional, knowledgeable, and if you have never been flying in a military aircraft a real treat and one of a kind experience. It should make you pause to think about what it must have been like to have been a soldier maybe waiting to jump out into an unknown outcome in war......
Very cool to fly on this piece of history. Plane is in very good shape. Pilot dressed in uniform is a very nice touch. Should have a 1 page handout to give to pax that has a few factoids about both the C-47 fleet and some specifics on the history of this particular tail number.
The 4 of us that went enjoyed the people involved, from the man in the office, to the "flight attendant", to the co-pilot and pilot. Even though it was hot and rough, the flight itself was amazing. We liked it so much we're working on a group for a Christmas flight.
My husband said it was an awesome experience and a smooth as silk landing.
Flying is my passion. Anything to do with aircraft is a very satisfying experience. Therefore, to fly in a ventage aircraft was FANTASTIC.
Gift for my wife and I from our sons. Such an incredible connection with our past, especially relating to WWII. Had memories of my father, who honorably served our country in the South Pacific during that period. If he were still alive, I have no doubt he'd have special memories of fellow military friends and first-hand stories relating to this type of aircraft.
Everything was Fantastic. My dad and I had a blast and will 100% be back to do it again.
We had a WONDERFUL time, the staff was very very attentive and helpful, it was awesome, we will definitely do it again. Thank you
Staff was awesome!
My husband had a blast, thank you!
Sunday, June 19, 2016 marked my 2nd ever DC-3/C-47 flight. (Previous w/ Yankee Air Museum, Willow Run, MI) It was a great experience to actually fly on the aircraft I'd only previously seen from the ground. The volunteers were wonderful! From the greeting to a lingering departure with a wonderfully informative post-flight conversation my friend & I had with our pilot. It was great to get back to Arlington & hear the blissful roar of the Southern Cross as it flew over on the evening tours & knew I had finally been aboard that wonderful vintage aircraft! Thanks too, for the pricing discount for two tickets, as I was able to bring along my friend & fellow aviation enthusiast for an early birthday present of a ride on a DC-3!! We talked/texted about the experience for the rest of the day! I'm anxiously awaiting & planning for my next trip aboard the Southern Cross. Until then, when I hear it in the skies over Arlington, I know the passengers & crew are delighted knowing we have such a wonderful asset in the DFW area in Greatest Generation Aircraft & the Southern Cross DC-3/C-47! I look forward to flying with you again soon!!
Husband LOVED it...He spoke highly about the professional staff & Amazing Flight. We will be returning very soon : )
Everyone was soo kind to our family. The staff really knows how to treat people and how to make a simple plane ride a memory to last forever.
