Embark on a historical small-group tour from Vilnius to Trakai, Kaunas, and Kernavė. Each of these former capitals, even if briefly (Trakai is said to have been a capital for less than a decade), holds a unique story—from the ancient hill fort of Kernavė to the interwar capital of Kaunas.
During this journey, the operator will share both broad overviews and key moments that have shaped the cherished nation of Lithuania, which is now home to the operator, their wife, and son. Additionally, the operator will play a variety of songs, ranging from Eurovision hits to forest chants by the fire.
After driving through the UNESCO-listed old town and the central business district of Vilnius, the tour will pause in the Soviet-era neighborhood of Karoliniškės for a coffee break (included).
The next destination is Trakai, featuring the stunning island castle where participants can enjoy a traditional Kibinai pastry (included).
In Kaunas, there will be 2 hours to explore either together or independently, as preferred, with an option to join the operator for lunch. A 30-minute stop at the Ninth Fort victims of fascism monument is planned on the return journey.
The tour concludes with a 60-minute visit to Kernavė!
