The BEST ATV Experience! - Edwin Transfer Tours provided my wife and I with one of the most memorable experiences of our trip!
We ended up going to the wrong pickup point!(totally my fault). We were about 30 minutes late at our scheduled pickup location and they were still there waiting with a smile on there face. There is nothing like Dominican hospitality!
After a short trip up the road into Maimon from Amber Cove we arrived at the buggy shop for our pre ride safety briefing. To our surprise we were the only ones there! They were very friendly and very thorough- we are experienced riders but they have to be sure you are familiar with their machines. After the briefing we hit road! Our guide, camera man, and safety rider with us in tow drove out the gates and through some of the local streets and right out to the trail. We had some rain through the night so it was muddy and wet- just the way an ATV ride should be! We traveled down several roads into a trail going right through the forest. Mud, hills, water holes, and sand! We arrived at "The Jungle" . A small village where we were shown the process and sampled proper Dominican coffee, hand rolled cigars, cocao products, and the obligatory Mamajuana shot. All of which were produced locally. My wife picked out a beautiful Silver Amber and Larimar ring while we looked around. After spending some time there we were back on the trail to a local beach! It was a beautiful spot with clean soft sand and well protected from the surf- perfect for rinsing off after a muddy ride. After spending some time touring the beach, enjoying some drinks and chatting with locals we mounted back up and headed up the road back to the buggy shop. Each stop varied from 30 to 45 minutes. The pictures and videography they offered was amazing! He was editing and putting together video pictures and music as he was riding with our safety rider! Very skilled.
Our guide was fun friendly and knowledgeable. If outdoor activities are your thing I can't recommend a better way to get out there and experience the environment and more importantly Dominican culture! It was a pleasure and we would love to ride here again!
I highly HIGHLY recommend Edwin TransferTours for your ATV adventure! IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!

100% recommend! - Absolutely amazing time. Felt super safe with a tour in the front and in the back. Tour guide was incredible and stopped at various places to explain and get fresh fruit from the trees. I told them we just got engaged and he gave my phone to the other guide and he took many great videos and pictures. We took a long time at the stop where they show u chocolate, coffee, cigars because there were so many good things to buy like mamahauna and missed our bus back to the port but we had plenty of time to get back to the port since it was just like a mile down the road so we just relaxed drank beer and ate local food at their station and caught another bus back with a different group. Would 100% recommend Edwin Transfer Tours.

This is not an off road adventure. - If you are looking for a 4 wheeler experience you can take your Abuela on this is the excursion. Trip consists of on road and light gravel road riding. After you get out of town you will arrive at a small shop for thirty minutes where you will be pressured to purchase something. I highly recommend 2 El Presidentes. Drink one there and take the other with you on the ATV. There is ZERO chance you will spill the beer on the way to the beach. The beach is a small beautiful cove beach. They have a small restaurant/ bar. They also have staged vendors pressing you to purchase jewelry, carvings, ect. Beer here was cold. Order another for the drive back because it will be the exact same roads you were on 30 minutes ago. If you have an adventurous heart or have ever rode a four wheeler in the 80s or early 90s... this one may be too tame for you. Order a beer and grab one for your Grandmother too.

Perfectly average fun - If youâve got extra time and want to spend some money then this excursion is fine. The ride isnât particularly scenic and you arrive at a beach with overpriced beverages and too much litter.
I may be spoiled because the day before I did the waterfall experience which is thrilling beyond words (and cheaper!). If youâre choosing between the two then do the waterfalls and it you have a day to kill then this is okay but ultimately forgettable.

Good âŠ. BUT - Only 3 stars instead of 5⊠we were on the trail having a great time on the ATVs when one of the guides drove to the back where my husband and kids were and told him to stop. My husband abruptly stopped and someone hit the back of him and he hit someone else in front. His back light was broken. At the end of the tour we were held hostage until we paid 45$ plus tax and card fees for the light. And we tipped beforehand!! Also when you stop at the beach for 30 min you just get haggled to buy things. Itâs not even enjoyable. The food/fish is $20. I had fun on this tour except for this!!! I wish I couldâve given it 5 stars.

ATV ride January 2024 - The tour was okay. There were some things that nature made not great, like the path was very flooded, so we were not able to go the original path, so I will not hold that against the tour guide. There were 8 of us 2 adults and 6 kids aging from 16-21. They loved the actual riding of the ATV and our guide was good. However, we arrived by 9 from the port and were done by 10:45. Not sure when 3 hour minimum was a thing. The beach stop was not relaxing and no drinks were offered to buy. We did not ride the ATVs on the beach, most of the trip was spent riding on blacktop. There was a very scary moment of crossing a busy road, where the drivers of the cars were not willing to stop, very risky moment. When we returned there was no ride waiting for us, we waited 45 minutes and luckily another big group was dropped off so we were able to take their cab back. All would have been fine but there was no offer for drinks or snacks while we waited which wouldâve made it better. The guide, I think his name was Omar and the gentleman taking photos, he made the trip much safer for us in the return by helping the ATVs in the back stay safe in traffic. It was nice to see the town and countryside of DR but it was not like advertised. The 3 hours included the cab rides. The long wait for a return cab was not good, especially when it is a short port day. I want to support the Super Buggies business but they should look at offering drinks/snacks for after and Edwin transfer tour needs to make sure the transportation is arranged both ways and that the customers are truly getting 3 hours of riding. It was an experience that we will remember but for $760 plus tip I would have liked to have ride for 3 hours and had a cold beer or water while we waited for our ride.

Not worth the money - This is a rip off. We actual rode the quads for a total of 42 minutes through a small town and on asphalt and dirt roads. The rest of our total 1 hr and 20 min was spent sitting at a beach where we got to spend $5 for a beer. If the ride is actually a total of 42 minutes then say 45 min not 3 hrs.
