Highlight of the visit - Lucas was so charming & spoke great English & customized the tour to take me where I hadn’t gone earlier on a walking tour.

Tuk Tuk with João Fortes is simply the best!! - If you want to see places and views in Porto that you wouldn’t possibly find on your own, then sign up for a Tuk Tuk tour with João Fortes. He’s simply the best !!! He’s knowledgeable, interesting and a whole lot of fun. You can sign up for tours starting with one hour to an entire day. We did four hours and I wouldn’t suggest doing less than two hours. Lots of people offer these tours. We got to João reading other people’s reviews and so glad we did. You will be too. Adverse weather - Adverse weather conditions hindered this tour as a number of sites weren’t clearly visible through the plastic curtains on the side of the vehicle.

No sunset or port wine - Our Tuk tuk driver was very knowledgeable and a great driver on the narrow streets, but this tour was not as advertised. The bottle of Port was essentially empty so only one person out of the 3 on the tour was able to have maybe 1/4 of a small paper cup of wine. As well, although advertised as a sunset tour, the tour ended at 2000h when the sunset was around 2100h so we were told we had to pick between staying to watch the sunset or having the driver drive us back to the city. We were not told until the driver was about to leave that we weren’t going to be able to see the sunset on the tour. As the title said, we got no wine or sunset, so 1/3 of the experience we thought we were getting was not received.

Bring your own Port, they forgot ours - Our driver guide John was very good taking us on a tour around the sights before taking us to the sunset viewing spot. He went to produce our port tasting and the bottle was just about empty, 3 people on the tour and only enough port for three small sips. Very poor planning on behalf of the company. We arrived there before 8pm, sunset was not till 9.05pm and our driver was heading back to the office. Apparently the tour only goes for 1.30 hours and finished at 8pm, so you had to make a choice of going back with the driver to the starting point and missing the sunset or staying and finding your own way back free sunset. This is not made clear enough when you are booking this, hence I wouldn’t recommend it
