Cockburn’s – a dream come true! - We took a guided tour of the cellars at Cockburn’s Port Lodge with Manuel, and it was an unforgettable experience. Manuel was incredibly kind and enthusiastic, and his explanations of the history of port wine and of Cockburn’s were both engaging and informative.
The cellars themselves were stunning—filled with countless old oak barrels and wooden vats, they created a truly unique and atmospheric setting. The tasting at the end was equally impressive. We chose the vintage tasting paired with cheese and also ordered bread with olive oil, which complemented the wines perfectly.
All in all, our experience was absolutely fantastic and without a doubt the highlight of our Porto holiday. We would highly recommend a visit to Cockburn’s to anyone traveling to Porto.

Port wine tour at Cockburn ́s . it couldn ́t get better! - We wanted to do a port tasting and fortunately we chose Cockburn. The tour through the wine cellar with our historically very experienced and highly motivated and extremely competent guide Manuel was simply fantastic. We have learned an incredible amount about the history of Port as well as the history of Cockburn in a very entertaining way. The subsequent wine tasting was absolutely fantastic: we booked the "vintage tasting paired with cheese" tour and had a culinary experience we will never forget. Definitely go - it's extremely worth it!

Premium Port Tasting with Chocolate - The tour was great - learned so much about port wine, Porto, and the Douro Valley! Our guide was amazing, super friendly and knowledgeable. The ports were amazing too, and paired well with the chocolates. Would definitely do another tasting!

Well worth the visit and tasting.

The tasting at the end as also brilliant and we got talked through each glass. Would thoroughly recommend visiting Cockburn’s if visiting Porto.

Outstanding service from start to finish - Due to a snowstorm in Europe we missed our connecting flight to Porto, which meant we weren’t arriving until after our tour reservation.
However, we still headed towards the cellar as they informed me that they were open until 7 pm that evening and I was still hoping to purchase some of their products.
Upon arrival the young lady who I had been communicating with just happened to be there and she offered for us to join a tour that had just begun 5 minutes earlier. We happily joined the group and did the tour followed by the VIP tasting in the John H. Smithes room.
Top notch and highly recommend. Only disappointment was not seeing the barrel coopers at work.
