Charlie the bird - We had an outstanding time and it was because Jake shared so much information. It was a perfect day. He didn’t rush anyone and made sure we stayed in the right place to keep us all safe. The cave was way more than I ever expected it to be. I loved his friend Charlie too.

Truly an adventure worth experiencing for the whole family!! - The KatlaTrack glacier tour was an unforgettable experience for our entire family. Walking across the glacier with crampons strapped to our boots felt like stepping into another world. The kids (ages 9 and 6) were thrilled when they got to swing pickaxes to chip away ice and even taste the ancient glacier pieces—a highlight they’re still talking about! Our guide Davis was fantastic, sharing fascinating insights about the region and the careful work that goes into maintaining safe access to this incredible landscape. The ride up in the monster-tired van was an adventure in itself, bouncing over rugged terrain and adding to the overall excitement. This was truly a unique experience we’ll never forget. Highly recommend for families looking for something special!

Amazing experience!! - It was a great experience, plus the guide was super cool and was explaining everything. If you go to Iceland 100% recommended with them, do not miss it.

Don’t miss it! - Fantastic experience! We even screwed up the starting time and showed up after our tour had left, but they were fantastic about it and got us in the next tour that day an hour later. Once in a lifetime experience and it lived up to the hype!

Adventures with Children - I joined with my 6-year-old son. It was the first time I enjoyed walking on the ice. It was a short time but very satisfying because I had no physical strength. I think the weather was even better, but that depends on luck.

Experience of a lifetime! - The Katla Ice Cave Tour was a real highlight on our trip to Iceland. Our guide was very informative and entertaining and he did a wonderful job explaining how the ice caves and the surrounding landscape are formed. This was a perfect activity for late September. If we had gone a week later, many more of the glacier experiences would have been available, but we did enjoy the good weather of the shoulder season. Even better, the path they cleared up the mountain was easy enough for the two seniors on our trip to make it comfortably to the top at a reasonable pace with the various groups coming up and down. From the drive to the Mountain to the time up to the top and back, it took a few hours, which was long enough to feel like you got a full experience, but short enough to keep us from getting tired. Being at the the top of the mountain was incredibly exhilarating and felt like a real adventure. Overall, it was a great value for the price and the Katlatrack team is incredibly professional. If you have the opportunity, go! You won't regret it.

Sadly not what it used to be - I would like to start by saying that the Tour Company and Guide were incredibly nice and did a great job but the value for the money on this tour is not there. We happened to go on a windy day and black volcano ash was in our eyes, teeth, clothes and all over our faces. Not what we expected. Sadly the glacier is melting and the ice cave was very small and there were multiple tour groups there just pushing people along. We had ice climbed another glacier the day before and I wish we left it at that. We spent too much money and time on this tour to come out covered in black ash.

While I understand that such situations can happen, the sudden change completely disrupted my travel itinerary and other planned activities for the day. I’ve reached out to request a full refund for the affected booking, as the short notice made it impossible to adjust my plans. Hoping the company handles this matter promptly and professionally, as smooth communication and accountability are key when managing travel experiences like this.

The tour guide was great. Office staff not helpful at all! - The actual ice cave was good however I inadvertently made two separate bookings (paid twice). I didn’t realize it until I was at the location for the tour. When I asked how this could be resolved the person at the check in desk said it could and shrugged her shoulders. Didn’t offer anything, not a credit not a hat, nothing. I paid $1200 for two people. And it wasn’t as if it kept others from booking. There was only 4 of us on the tour. Very disappointed. Be careful when booking!!!!!
