• Ngoc Hien Pearl Farm - 9:00 AM: The tour guide will arrive at your hotel to pick you up, or you can meet at the office if your hotel is outside Duong Dong Town. The first stop is the Pearl Farm, showcasing a variety of exquisite and valuable pearl strands, including those cultivated and handcrafted by local artisans. Additionally, you will have the chance to observe a demonstration of pearl extraction from an oyster, offering a fascinating experience for those unfamiliar with the process.
• Sim Son Phu Quoc - 9:30 AM: Departing from the Pearl Farm, the next visit is to the Sim wine factory, where locals produce Sim wine (Rose Myrtle wine) from the myrtle tree fruit. Here, you can sample different types of Sim wine, ranging from low to high alcohol content. If you enjoy it, you can purchase some, as Sim wine is exclusively made on Phu Quoc Island.
• Pepper Farm - 10:00 AM: The tour continues to the Pepper Farm, where you will be amazed by the neatly arranged rows of lush green pepper trees, known for their flavorful and aromatic peppercorns.
• Ho Quoc Temple - 10:30 AM: The next attraction is Ho Quoc Pagoda, the largest Buddhist temple on Phu Quoc Island. This magnificent temple is situated at the foot of a verdant mountain, facing the sea and the rising sun.
• Bai Tắm Sao - 11:30 AM: The tour proceeds to Sao Beach, where you can enjoy lunch and partake in various activities such as swimming, water sports (at personal expense), sunbathing, or collecting sea stars for photos. The stop here lasts for 1 hour and 30 minutes before heading to Phu Quoc Prison (Coconut Prison).
• Phu Quoc Prison - 1:30 PM: Upon arrival at Phu Quoc Prison, the tour guide will provide intriguing insights about this historical site. Originally built by the French colonialists in 1967 to detain Vietnamese individuals, it was known as Coconut Tree Prison. It was the largest detention center for communist soldiers in the South, housing over 32,000 prisoners. Visitors should be prepared for the realistic artifacts and statues depicting the harsh conditions and brutal treatment of prisoners.
• Huynh Khoa Fish Sauce Factory - After leaving the prison, the tour proceeds to the fish sauce factory. Phu Quoc’s fish sauce production is akin to Italy’s olive oil or France’s champagne, being an artisanal and traditional product made with locally sourced natural ingredients.
• An Thoi - 3:30 PM: The tour checks in at Sun Premier Village Primavera for a walking tour of Kiss Bridge and Clock Tower. On the return journey, those interested can stop at Sunset Sanato or the Night Market in Duong Dong Town (entrance fee and return transport at personal expense). The tour concludes with a return to the hotel in Duong Dong around 4:30 PM, where the tour guide bids farewell.
