Wonderful experience - It was absolutely amazing, everyone was extremely nice, and cared about our experience. Being able to see the bioluminescence was a highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico. Be warned no matter which you company you go with the ride to the bay is rough and bumpy. I would discourage anybody who has any serious health conditions or injuries from the activity because of that drive unfortunately. Also be warned, you will have to take off your shoes and then wade into the rocky beach to board your kayak. The guide took us to a point deep in the bay where they found a spot with strong bioluminescence and let us mostly free to discover the area as we pleased. Definitely wear clothes you are okay getting wet. We were sitting in water in our kayaks during the entire trip. Also, try to book when there is a new moon so you can see the the glow best.

Partial refund rejected - I understand that we were not able to reach 24 hours prior to the event, but it was last minutes kids fell sick. I called them and they offered to talk to the owner to consider at least partial refund because we were a large group and we paid almost $650 for all of us. This is a courtesy request because of the huge amount involved.

Excellent Customer Service for family - The biobay experience was wonderful. The guides Mayra, Yarial, and Esteban were wonderful. Angel in the office answered all my questions and ensured my family could be together. We were able to go on a Sunday night after a day trip and make the 9 pm ferry back to the mainland. Make sure you check the lunar calendar before you go as we had a half moon and the bioluminescence was not as impressive.

Plan ahead for travel and ferry - Kayak experience was nice and company did provide equipment and tour guide. We did see “glowing water”. No fish really. Clear beautiful sky. The catch - the timers don’t include any basics. For ex. You need ferry tickets to the island which may sell out. They only see a certain amount online and then you’d have to go to ferry and hope they have some. We stayed in San Juan. Ferry is 1.5 hours away approx. the ferry dos not allow rental cars. When you arrive at ferry you are 10 min drive away from meeting place. They should have included transportation to their pick up spot !! - which was called “abandoned lot” - did not make it easy to describe to a taxi. Which is exactly how we got there and back. We really had to figure it out as we went and all of the participants were really worried we’d miss the ferry out off the island which would leave us with no where to sleep. Maybe I’m a worrier , but I expected more logistical help with details and feel the tour was expecting too much from visitors to figure this all out.

Okay, but... - Very professional and punctual both in the transfer and in the activity, but I think that it should not be done on days that there is half a moon or more, because it will hardly see the luminescence

Mosquito bay kayak - The outing was quite well organized. The moon was clear so the bioluminescence not too visible. But we had a tarp to see better underneath. The guide was nice. However, you might as well book directly with agencies and not Viator. They're not being honest. We have a refund problem with them.

Somewhat Forgettable - If you are coming back on the ferry, no later than a 6:30 tour to make it to the 9:00 ferry. Get your cab ready for pick up at the ferry and for pick up after the tour at the green store. It’s cold on the ferry on the way back since you will be wet so change clothes or bring a blanket. The actual tour was relaxing once you got on the water, but chaotic up until that point. The clarity of the stars, the moon, and the sound of the water brought serenity. Yes, there is some glow, but don’t expect it to be lit up. When you move your oars is when you see the bioluminescence. If I come back to PR, I would likely skip it or try for the tours from Fajardo.🤷🏻‍♀️

Mediocre experience and not worth the money - A calm dark night with warm water, the light paddling was easy. We departed at 6:30 PM and returned at 8:10 PM a much shorter trip than we were promised. educational presentation lasted about two minutes. We were not told what to bring, and had difficulty finding the meeting point as even the locals didn’t know how to interpret the directions.

Disappointing staff - This company was by far our least favorite of the tours we have taken. The guide spoke extremely poor English. We are bilingual Spanish and English speakers and we couldn't understand our guide. Also he used very bright lights and it made it hard for our eyes to adjust to the bioluminescence
