- Patuxay Monument - The Patuxai Victory Gate, a grand concrete arch on Lang Xang Avenue, resembles the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. This monument honors Laos’s perseverance and eventual independence, as well as those who sacrificed their lives in the wars leading to that achievement.
- Great Sacred Stupa (Pha That Luang) - Pha That Luang, translating to “Great Sacred Stupa,” is a golden Buddhist stupa located in Vientiane, Laos. It is regarded as the most significant national monument and a symbol of Lao sovereignty and the Buddhist faith.
- Wat Sisaket - Wat Si Saket, an important temple in Vientiane, is thought to be the city’s oldest surviving wat. Constructed between 1819 and 1824 by Chao Anou, it showcases a unique blend of Buddhist architectural styles, including a five-tiered Thai-style roof and a Burmese-style roof for the library.
- Ho Phrakeo Museum - Haw Phra Kaew now serves as a museum displaying some of the finest examples of Laos religious art. The terrace features numerous Buddhas, including stone Buddhas from the 6th to 9th century, as well as bronze standing and seated Buddhas from later periods.
