During your approximately 1.5-hour visit, you can visit the Skywalk 360m platform for breathtaking views, stroll along the Promenade into the vibrant town center with its many small shops. To enhance your visit, enjoy local delicacies and take a leisurely walk by Hallstatt Lake.
- Lake Wolfgang - The route from Hallstatt to Salzburg offers stunning panoramic views of the lakes in the Salzkammergut region. A photo opportunity will be provided at Lake Wolfgang in the town of Sankt Gilgen. Feel free to request additional short stops along this route to capture the picturesque Austrian lake scenery.
- Salzburg - The tour proceeds with a visit to Salzburg. Upon arrival, explore the UNESCO-protected Old Town, the Mirabell Palace Gardens, famous as a filming location for the “Sound of Music” movie and the “Do-Re-Mi” song, or enjoy a spectacular view of the city from the Hohensalzburg Fortress. Surrounded by mountains, Salzburg is renowned as Mozart’s birthplace, where you can try Mozart chocolate, exclusively available in Salzburg. After concluding the day in Salzburg around 17:30 - 18:00, the tour returns to your accommodation in Vienna, where your day tour began.

Michael was amazing - Michael was very helpful and knowledgeable! It was great to have him to figure out everything for us. The towns were beautiful. We did skip Milk so we could spend more time in the other two towns. Beautiful and great way to relax after flying in the day before.

Knowledgeable, courteous, professional and friendly! - We were 2 couples visiting Vienna for the first time. We had the pleasure of taking two full day private excursions with Darko and his company.
We can't say enough about how great each excursion was. Each day started with a pick up at our hotel in a luxurious Mercedes van. Darko was very accommodating in adjusting the schedule to our preferences.
His professionalism in driving was only surpassed by his extensive knowledge of all the sites we visited . His first hand experiences and knowledge made every stop interesting and memorable. And what a photographic eye he has. He was kind enough to take several photos of us at various sites throughout the trip, which will surely turn out to be life long memories.
These private tours were surely the highlight of our trip to Vienna.

Exceptional Private Transportation Across Austria - We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our private transportation host from Vienna to Salzburg, Melk, and Hallstatt. From start to finish, everything was seamless and thoughtfully planned.
Our host Romano was incredibly professional, punctual, and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about each destination while allowing us plenty of time to explore and enjoy at our own pace. The vehicle was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, making the long drives relaxing and enjoyable.

Amazing day - This was not a guided tour, but rather a private drive—and it was absolutely amazing. The driver took us to all the places we wanted to see and offered great suggestions without ever being pushy. We had plenty of time at each location to enjoy everything at our own pace. He was polite, friendly, and kind, making the entire day very comfortable and enjoyable. Every location was perfect, and we came away with incredible memories. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Full Day!! All of the... - Full Day!! All of the stops are gorgeous! Darko was a fantastic driver & full of knowledge of the region! We were blown away by the views! It was simply magical!

Best day spent in Austria - A great tour! Highly recommend. D was a fabulous guide, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating to whatever we wanted to do. Would definitely recommend to get to experience more of Austria.

A trip worth taking!! - Visiting Hallstatt, Melk and Salzburg was amazing-but be warned its a LONG day trip with more time in a van than touring the towns. Still worth it and our driver, Darko, was very informative and was flexible to shape the day how we preferred. The locations were gorgeous!! Be sure to discuss the different routes they can drive because we missed going through beautiful mountain views for one possible stop at a Sound of Music location. When booking we didn't understand fully what we would see along the way. Once our driver knew I was a Sound of Music fan that determined our route- but foggy weather did prevent us fro seeing some areas as you will see in my pictures. If I had this to do again - I would do a day trip to Salzburg by itself so we could have enjoyed that area longer. The time in Hallstatt was perfect. Weather wasn't great in Salzburg but skipping around the "Sound of Music" fountain with my grown kids made it all worth it. Overall, a great day trip!

My family and I did this... - My family and I did this tour on December 2, 2025. We had Michael as our tour guide and he is a great guide!!! He was flexible in the stops we made and has a great knowledge of the history. We appreciated that he took tons of pictures of our group and individuals as well and sent them to us at the end of the tour. This allowed us to really enjoy the tour more.
