Tour of the haus - Excellent tour and museum. Enough information on the apartment, Mozart’s life and of course, music. Excellent value for money

Informative, definitely for music fans - The museum houses where Mozart lived in Vienna during the 1780s. Located very close to St.Stephen’s Cathedral and the tourist district. The admission is 14€ which includes a coat check and an audio guide. Overall, it was a very informative and one learns about the age Mozart lived in and his music. The gift store is very good as well with interesting gift ideas. A criticism I do have is a paucity of actual artifacts but rather reproductions and copies. Keep in mind, photography is prohibited inside.

Exciting for music fans, rest abstain. - For me it was exciting to be in the place where Mozart lived for 21⁄2 years. The initial set in context with the period both socially and musically is accurate. Luckily I didn’t coincide with an outing of British students who entered right after as the site is not big.

Could be better - Happened to pass by here and decided to pop in and give it a go. It was pretty cool seeing a lot of people of the time and some artefacts. But felt like there could be more info about Mozart himself and things which belonged to him. Had a lot of problems with the audio guide too - struggled to get on the wifi and when we did, the information kept cutting out

Interesting but underwhelming - The Mozarthaus museum is a self guided tour with an audioguide and where Mozart lived in the latter stages of his life. It was interesting and gave some interesting facts (such as his Irish friend Michael Kelly), albeit it doesnt have his actual possessions and I have had better audio tours (particularly for the price of €14 pp). There were also group tours that went through that took over the place and made it cramped and the staff were not the most welcoming. Good for big Mozart fans but with so much to do in Vienna, I'd probably recommend something else for travellers if tight on time.

follow the audio guide to walk around - the original price for adult is Euro 14, with VCC (Vienna city card), it's Euro 10, and for kids under 19 is Euro 4.5. There is audio guide, you can walk around following the audio guide, there are 3 floors you can visit. if you are musician or interested in classical music, maybe you will want to visit this place, know more about Mozart.

Interesting without more and expensive - Tour with audio guide downloaded to own phone. Nothing special. Dear in the end. Good revision of Mozart’s life and classical music before going to the opera

Skip this, trust me - Very underwhelming. Few original artifacts and the top 2 floors felt disjointed and we would’ve been fine skipping them. Far better options in Vienna to explore!

Difficult to access information - As a classical music fan and lover of Mozart, I was quite excited to visit this museum, in a house where Mozart once lived. I was disappointed with the museum. Entry is rather expensive for the quality of the museum. The museum had very little in the way of artifacts. Its rooms are largely empty, save for some exhibits on the wall. It is VERY reliant on the audio guide, accessed by cell, and the audio segments are long and highly academic. As a person who prefers to read v. listen, this made the museum even more difficult to access. I am closer to the life and works if Mozart than I assume a typical visitor would be. For those looking for an introduction to Mozart's life and works or to get a greater appreciation for his significance, I think you will be disappointed; much of the museum's narrative is dependent on prior knowledge of Mozart. Disappointing.

A scam - Taking advantage of Mozart's fame, they have created a museum in the building where he lived his last years in Vienna. The house does not even retain the original structure and is completely empty. There is practically nothing to see and if you do not take audio guide (not included in the Vienna pass), the visit seems useless. Given the fame of the composer, it is another of those places full of tourists, so I recommend avoiding it at all costs, except for those who are very Ottoman.
