Hwange National Park - Rise early at around 5:00 AM for a game drive in Hwange National Park. The goal is to spot cats, as they are typically active during this time. Situated in the southwest of Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park is the largest national park in the country, spanning over 14,600 square kilometers (5,863 square miles) or 1,460,000 hectares. Hwange National Park offers an authentic African experience, free from the tourist crowds often found in places like Chobe National Park or Kruger. It is a wilderness with some of the finest game viewing opportunities in Africa, yet it attracts fewer tourists. Overnight accommodation is at Sikumi Tree Lodge. The area around Main Camp is abundant with game, featuring numerous pans and pumped waterholes.

Hwange National Park really is a great game park and it is genuine Africa. Hwange National Park is not crowded with tourists as one might expect in Chobe National Park or even the Kruger. It’s a wilderness with some of the best game viewing you can experience anywhere in Africa yet so few tourists in comparison….

Hwange National Park really is a great game park and it is genuine Africa. Hwange National Park is not crowded with tourists as one might expect in Chobe National Park or even the Kruger. It’s a wilderness with some of the best game viewing you can experience anywhere in Africa yet so few tourists in comparison. Spending the overnight at Hwange Safari lodge which is situated near the Park. There are many pans and pumped waterholes which attracts a lot of game around Main Camp.We will do two game drives for the overnight, first one its done the day we arrive from 3.30pm till 6.30pm & early morning drive which is good for sporting cats. After that we do our check out and drive back to Victoria Falls.
