The Zambezi River ranks as the fourth-longest river in Africa, the longest east-flowing river on the continent, and the largest river flowing into the Indian Ocean from Africa. Spanning 2,574 kilometers (1,599 miles), it originates in Zambia and traverses eastern Angola, the northeastern border of Namibia, the northern border of Botswana, and the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, before crossing Mozambique to empty into the Indian Ocean. Victoria Falls is the river’s most renowned feature.
• Zambezi National Park - This park features 40 kilometers of Zambezi River frontage and a diverse array of wildlife, lush inland mopane forest, and savanna. Zambezi National Park is connected with Victoria Falls National Park, and together they encompass an area of 56,000 hectares. A wide range of larger mammals can be found within the park. With some luck, visitors might encounter animals such as hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and kudus while cruising on the Zambezi River.
