SpringTide Whale Watching & Charters - Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure at our ground-level office located at 1119 Wharf Street. After checking in, your Zodiac skipper will guide you to the dock, where you will put on a full-body flotation suit over your clothing. These cruiser suits are designed to keep you warm and dry, but it is still advisable to dress in warm layers, as it tends to be cooler on the water, especially at high speeds! Prepare for an exhilarating and immersive experience close to the ocean’s surface.
Once on the water, your adventure truly begins. With the wind in your hair and the ocean spray beside you, your skipper will expertly navigate the Salish Sea in search of whales and other marine life. You may encounter orcas, humpbacks, sea lions, harbor seals, porpoises, and a variety of seabirds.
Throughout the journey, your skipper will provide expert commentary, offering insights into the animals, their behaviors, and the ecosystem they inhabit.

Excellent trip - Great trip on October 8th with Cam from Springtide whale watching. Would highly recommend. We got very close to a group of whales and made the experience great.

Exceptional Day on the Water - Cam took us out on Oct 5th in the morning. Glorious weather day, sunny with calm waters. We saw 5-8 humpback whales. Cam was a great captain, spotted wild life way before us and steered us to great views. The boats are the right size for exploring. Requesting videos/photos.

Lots of whales to see! - We had a wonderful day with plenty of humpbacks and a lone orca! We could not have asked for a better day! Our guide got us some great shots!

Whales Everywhere - Went on the zodiac with Capt Cam. We were so glad we decided to book this at the end of our trip it did not disappoint. So many whales and in the small boat we got lucky enough to get very close to a couple. Can claimed it was luck anyway but Cam definitely put the boat in the right spot. Before heading back we got to go by an island filled with sea lions also very cool.

A definite must do - We were hoping to see some whales and we were not disappointed. We could not believe how many whales we were fortunately able to see. Our captain “Cam” was very knowledgeable and informative about the wildlife and knew where the best chances of seeing the whales. Also we saw sea lions and seals. We are 100% glad we did this tour.

Perfect Nature Experience in Victoria - We had an amazing time on the Zodiac tour, we got really lucky with great weather and saw so many whales! Captain Cam was a great guide and you could tell he was excited about his work. We learned a lot and saw multiple species. It was a real treat and the boat ride would've been fun by itself even if we hadn't seen any animals. Loved the small group setting.

Cam, the man with the plan! Ride the Zodiac!! - Cam made the trip! He was very knowledgeable and informative about everything we saw and did. I was at the very front and could hear everything that was said. I had a great time with my friend and family and seeing all of the whales and sea lions. We were flying through those waters and whipping it! Some sea lions were battling it out! If I had to warn of anything, dress warm with a beanie or tight-fitting hat for the wind. But all around, I definitely recommend this! You get a very personal up-close look at the wild life and the environment. Fees were reasonable. Our time out was longer than expected but well worth it! We will be back to Victoria soon!!

One for the books! - Had the best time with Captain Cam on Sep 20, 2025 @ 2pm aboard the Zodiac. What an absolute magical experience learning about the different species! Captaim Cam did an amazing job navigating through the waters and teaching us all sorts of things! Definitely one for the books!

Amazing guide and perfect trip to see and learn about whales - The trip was amazing! Cam did an awesome job explaining us a lot of different facts about whales while bringing us to the best places. We saw a bunch of hunchback whales and a family of killer whales. It was really great!
BTW: Please send me a few pictures and videos you took, Cam :)
