The highlight of our stay - Our guides were personable and knowledgeable. The variety and quantity of food was just right. The pace was unhurried. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would do again.

Highly recommend. Great tour, great food. - Highly recommend this food tour! AJ was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the city and its history, food, and had a great energy. The food was delicious and you won’t want to eat after the tour because you get plenty. My only suggestion would be to take this tour early in your visit so you know where all these amazing places are and get familiar with the downtown area.

Fun and Delicious Activity - This was the perfect activity for us as we had just gotten off the ferry and dropped off our bags at the hotel across the street. One must be hungry as there are quite a few food stops. From Korean hot dogs to pork belly bowls to desserts it was quite fun. Ben was a great guide and kept our tour fun and informative. Met some great people too. All in all great activity and highly recommend when visiting Victoria!

Rain or Shine: Do it! - Superb experience with Jo as our guide: cheerful (despite the downpour!) and informative. The food choices were varied and delicious. Come hungry!

Great Food - AJ was fantastic. A lot of good information. All the food stops were excellent but we found it too rushed. 7 stops in 2 hours is too rushed. Other than that, we really enjoyed the tour

Disappointed that Tea was not included as advertised:-( - We have done several food tours. AJ was knowledgeable but felt a bit rushed. There was no tea as advertised . The Korean corn dog was not a good choice the Macrons tasted nothing like tomatoes or bacon way too sweet . The sitting in the middle of the street and handed a simple dessert to eat was awkward and did not care for. The cheese wine was a great stop . Prepared seating and an explanation of the cheeses very good stop. The roasted brussel sprouts stop with prep seating nice. The 1/2 open face sandwich in a mall was ok. But overall our expectations were much higher. We also had to pay for transport to and from meeting spots not good for the price we paid. But big disappointment no high tea as advertised. So would not do this tour again.

Ordinary - The open faced sandwich was good , however, at a food court in the mall? Wine tasting was barely enough wine to taste. Chocolate and macaroon stores were good. Cheese tasting was very small. Korean corn dog was at a corner store, and Mexican food was a taco at a real small restaurant. I was expecting more in the restaurant setting than fast food, especially for the price.

Very rushed and disappointing tour but great food. - I gave it a 3 based on most of the food was great. Otherwise I would give it a 2. The tour itself was very disappointing. We have taken food tours all over the world and this was one of the worst. The guide gave us very little information about Victoria and was more interested in telling us about Japanese culture which seems to be a passion of hers. While passing by an ice cream shop she entered into a 20 minute or more conversation with the owner followed by a 10 minute or so attempt at trying to figure out how to get to our destination in an elevator. It was 40 minutes before we had our first tasting. A stop for wine tasting was a joke. The portions were no more than a tablespoon each and the guide told us we needed to move on even before hearing about the second wine. The third stop was closed. The rest of the tour was very rushed. All four of us in our group commented to each other how rushed we felt. While we were eating samples the guide would go off to pick up food from 3 of our stops. One of the pleasures of food tours is visiting each food stop but in our case she decided to bring the food to us (giving us each samples from two of the places in bags at the end). We don’t even know where the food came from. She also spent a great deal of time looking at or texting on her phone. Don’t know if it was tour related or not. Even though 30 minutes were spent on her interests and not the actual tour, she seemed more intent in limiting the tour to 2 hours than giving us the actual experience.
