Villa Valmarana ai Nani, located just outside Vicenza, is a remarkable monumental complex featuring the ‘Palazzina’ (Owner’s Residence), the Foresteria (Guest House) – both adorned with frescoes by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo – and the Scuderia (Stables), all set within a historic park. The complex is encircled by walls adorned with statues of dwarfs. It is the only place in the world where one can admire the combined artistry of Giambattista and his son, Giandomenico Tiepolo. The Villa remains under the ownership and residence of the Valmarana family, who commissioned the frescoes in 1757.
