Flam - Flåm is the most popular village around the Aurlandsfjord and a top tourist destination in Norway. With a tourism history spanning over 100 years, Flåm was once a favorite of wealthy British tourists who came to fish for salmon. The village is small, with about 400 residents. The stop in Flåm varies due to different cruise and train schedules throughout the year. In winter, there is 30 to 45 minutes of free time before the train departs, while in summer, there is 1-2 hours of free time as the train departs later.

Flåmsbana - The train journey from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a Sognefjord tributary, to the high mountains at Myrdal station takes about an hour. The train ascends from sea level in Flåm to Myrdal, situated 867 meters above sea level. The Flåm Railway is one of the steepest standard gauge railways globally, with 80% of the journey on a 5.5% gradient. The train passes through stunning scenery, alongside the Rallar Road, steep mountainsides, foaming waterfalls, and 20 tunnels.

This tour is filled with excitement! Anticipate stunning views, magnificent waterfalls, and awe-inspiring fjords. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the cultural Viking village in Njardarheimr, sail through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Nærøyfjorden, and enjoy one of the world’s most scenic train rides, The Flåm Railway. The tour is guided up to the Viking Village, after which participants will continue independently on the cruise and train. All necessary information will be provided.
The start time is 8:00 am until April 30, 2026. From May 1 to September 30, 2026, the start time is 9:00 am. In October and throughout the rest of the winter season 2026, the start time reverts to 8:00 am. Please check the schedule for the various cruise and train times for 2026.
