Fantastic way to experience Versailles! - Eleanor was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide from start to finish. The instructions for meeting location were clear. Travel was organized. There was just the right amount of down time to really relax and enjoy the beauty of the park. I loved her weaving of history with humanity to create a deeper understanding of French history.

Great way to see Versailles - Full day, but a great way to see Versailles - both the palace (and gardens) and the town. Eleanor was an excellent guide - very informative and took great care of us.

Thank you, Eleonore! - Eleonore is the best tour guide! She brought the history of Versaille alive for us, allowing us to glimpse that amazing period in history. Her willingness to discuss far ranging topics outside of Versaille specifically and great recommendations were kindly appreciated. I could listen to her all day. We would love to do this tour with her again - fantastic experience!

Great tour! - Eleanor was an amazing guide, would highly recommend this tour! My mom and I had a great time together. Our tour started at 8am and I would definitely recommend going early as it will be less crowded at the palace.

Family Versailles day tour - We have done other Versailles tours and this tour was MUCH better. Starting the tour early through the palace was great because crowds were much smaller! THEN going off to the market for picnic lunch goodies was brilliant scheduling! Our overall day tour guide Brian was WONDERFUL!! We had another palace guide who was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful historical tour of the palace.

Best Way to Do Versailles! - Yes, this bike tour is a bit of a splurge in terms of cost, but if you want to do the Palace of Versailles right, this is the best way to enjoy a full day there -- under the guidance of professionals who know their way around and the best things to eat/see. Matt was our small group guide, and he was wonderful! He was approachable, attentive, easygoing, and informative. He provided helpful tips and warned us of any potential bumps in the road. Eleanor was our guide inside the palace, where the two small groups combined. She was also great! They provided us with earphones, so we could hear her in the bustling and crowded palace. I noticed other tour groups used handheld speakers, which seemed annoying to hold. Another great thing about this tour is that the tour groups are smaller, so you can ask the guides your curious questions and receive much of their attention. And they were so attentive towards everyone! It's also nice to have someone take your pictures! Because the palace grounds are so expansive, biking is the perfect way to get around and see everything from the Grand Canal to the random waterfalls where Louis XIV danced to Marie Antoinette's hamlet to bike roads lined by shading trees flanked by scenic parks and horse ranches. My favorite part of the bike tour was biking into Versailles and picking up lunch at the beautiful Farmer's Market. It is the cutest market I've ever been to. So much fresh food, fruits, and vegetables! We picked up truffle gouda, and it was GOOD-AH! The fois gras was also chef's kiss. We brought our self-made charcuterie back to the palace grounds for a grand picnic. Our day ended with Matt bringing us back to the train station, where he also picked us up. The whole day, they figuratively held our hands through what could easily have been an overwhelming experience.

Perfect way to get the most out of Versailles! - What a wonderful way to see Versailles and to get off your feet for a bit and bike! Our guide was wonderful, the market was great to get our items for lunch. There was a chance of rain that day and they were prepared with nice rain coats!
