Great tour that will leave you entertained and informed! - The tour was fun, incredibly informative and entertaining and had lots of fascinating insights that I don’t think we would have had access to otherwise - it was really enjoyable and exactly what we were hoping for! We got to understand the culture and history of Verona, and learn about key locations of the city as we walked it. It’s a great start to a holiday there. Our tour guide was friendly and engaging, with great delivery and great banter, drawing us into the story of Verona. We left very happy and it was a great way to spend an evening - the next day we were still talking about it and using all of information we’d learned. Highly recommended if you want to spend a fun evening learning all about the layers of history, with legends, folklore, stories and history all based in a real knowledge of the place

A Must Do Experience for Verona - Maria Pia Girolami was superb. Such a hugely knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who introduced us to the beautiful city of Verona on our first evening. We learn't about the ruling families' conniving behaviour; the different architectural styles and how necessity dictated them; dark tales from the Arena and a sad tale from the Love Well and much much more! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful lady and her fantastic tour for anyone visiting the fair city of Verona.

Verona walking tour- highly recommend!!! - The Verona walking tour was so informative and one of our favorite things we did! I was amazed by all the history in Verona that I had no idea about. Our trip to Verona wouldn’t have been the same without Maria and her knowledge of the city. It made us love Verona even more! Maria was an excellent tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was fun, interactive, personable, interesting…. It was just amazing. She always made sure we were comfortable and took great care of all of us… checking on us throughout the walk. ❤️ I would give it more than 5 stars if I could! Definitely book this tour- you’ll love it!

OUTSTANDING - We took the general tour with Francesco and he was absolutely amazing. What he didn’t know about the arena, the old market square, Romeo & Juliet and Dante was not worth knowing! Francesco’s knowledge of and passion for the city, its history and its connections to the wider world over eons of time were exceptional. We were blown away by him and he was extremely generous with his time on the night of his son’s birthday. We hope you had a super night celebrating, Francesco! If you want to get to know the real Verona and you are fortunate enough to be staying longer than the four nights we did, then Francesco’s tour would be an excellent place to start. It could be a fantastic foundation for finding out the aspects of the city you wish to find out more about while you are there. Also, the evening is a perfect time to do the tour, it is cooler and the streets are less busy and there is plenty of time to get a nice meal afterwards.

We got more for our money - We were fortunate to have a passionate history guide. We were just the two of us on the tour so we had a private tour. We stayed with the guide much longer than expected and we appreciated the fact that he never looked at his watch. He was in no hurry and his passion was contagious. For those who expect to have "dark" stories, this is not what you will have non-stop. The content is very historical but the story is "dark" in general... You'll find something to please you.
