Some things you should know. - This is a fun adventure, but there are some details that you should be aware. Veracruz is a more traditional part of a Mexico. You should not expect that you shouldn't rely on English. You will have a better experience if you are able to use good conversational Spanish. A bilingual couple helped us out. The beach area for the experience requires boarding the kayak in the water. Plan to be wet before you start paddling. The end of your experience is the same. You will be paddling in the Gulf and there is no reef to protect you from swells and waves. This was our first experience with this kind kayaking, but we managed fine. The description leads you to believe that these are solo kayaks. Only two person kayaks were available. This worked for us as my wife has less experience in a kayak than I, so I was able to keep us going in the right direction. But one participant had her partner drop out and I don't believe she was able to participate. While they provided transportation to the adventure site, you are on your own for the return to your hotel. If you are using a taxi, the driver will want to know that will likely be wet for the ride. Take a towel to protect the vehicle interior. Enjoy your adventure.
