Great little tour - I loved this tour. It's a little hard to find the entrance cause there are no signs. Google maps will take you right to the door. Inside the door is a booth where they will check your online ticket. It's a very quick tour, but very good with lots of replicas and some original equipment.

Depressingly gruesome! - Giulia our guide made this visit memorable thanks to her excellent English and informative commentary. The visit details the umpteen ways in which prisoners of the place were made to suffer inhuman treatment and you can see replicas of the various torture devices and other products of man's cruelty to man. It is quite astonishing in scope. Giulia handled a commentary in Italian and an immediate and fluent translation into English. She was easy to understand and very thorough and passionate in her explanations. She invited questions and her answers were very informative. She made the whole visit a delight, in as much as a museum of torture can be a delight..

Two thumbs up! - This is a great little tour. Loved our tour guide, she was so knowledgeable, good humor. There were some crazy torture methods back in the day. How many different ways can you use spikes??? If you love history, this is a great little off the beaten path way to spend an hour. Two thumbs up!

Underwhelming - It was ok but underwhelming. Expecting more than what was offered re information and available things to look at. You won’t miss much if you pass on this tour.

Not As Described - It says it's a guided tour but really you just walk around yourself, took about 15 minutes. It's cool to see but there's really only 2 areas, sounded like a much more extensive tour. You just see the torture devices, not where they kept prisoners or anything else it described. No sign at the entrance, just go up the stairs to find the one person working waiting for you. Unless you're really curious about medieval torture devices not really worth the money.
