Must do! - Fantastic experience and would do it again in a heartbeat! We had a great time at the market and even more fun cooking. It was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend!!!!!

Lorenzo was an amazing... - Lorenzo was an amazing host for this experience. He was super knowledgeable about the fish and produce markets and was on time to the experience. The meal was amazing and it was even cooler helping pick out the ingredients! Overall I would so recommend doing this experience!

Wonderful experience!!!! - It was an amazing experience. Had fun and learned a lot. From the market to the table it immersed us into the culture. Our chef was fantastic and very personable. Highly recommend!!!!

Class was Fabulous! - Absolutely fantastic! We learned SO much about Venetian food preparation. Chef Lorenzo was very friendly and accommodating. We all had plenty of food and wine. Excellent experience.

Charming Culinary Experience with Lorenzo! - Cooking with Lorenzo was a unique experience. We met him near the Venice for market (similar to Pike’s Market) Walking through the market with him was a highlight—we got to see a wide selection of fresh seafood, from octopus and clams to swordfish and scallops. The produce was just as impressive, with the ripest strawberries, tomatoes, lemons, and more. Lorenzo selected the fresh ingredients, including sea bass, asparagus, artichokes, and strawberries, before we stopped for a quick coffee break.
Back in his kitchen, we learned to make egg noodle pasta from scratch and prepared the sea bass with seasonal vegetables, all while Lorenzo guided us with expert instruction and hands-on demonstrations. The atmosphere was charming, with familiar music, wine, and conversation as we cooked. We sat down to enjoy our delicious meal—it was a memorable experience.
This experience was both fun and educational, and we recommend it to anyone looking to immerse themselves in authentic Italian cooking. Lorenzo’s passion for food and teaching made it truly special!

Wonderful Evening of food and fun - Definitely worth the time and effort! Had originally booked for a morning market and cooking experience but because of New Year's the market was closed an extra day so re-booked for Saturday evening--which meant no market but that was okay--I saw the market! Met Lorenzo just down from his apartment with 3 other people and we had a great time. He was patient and explained things very well--made herb encrusted sea bass, homemade ravioli with radicchio and onions, and tiramisu--and the recipes are simple, flavorful, and I'll definitely use them again and experiment with different pasta shapes, styles, etc. He also showed us a great bread/pizza dough recipe and we made some of that--very light (not pizza--he doesn't have the proper oven)
Make time and do this!

My wife and I thoroughly... - My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Lorenzo. Due to low season in November, it was just the two of us, and Lorenzo provided a comprehensive intro of the stalls at Rialto Market, and generous hospitality at his home afterwards. Although my wife and I are experienced cooks, we still learned a lot from Lorenzo's treatment of local specialty seafoods and vegetable ingredients, as well as the Venetian style of risotto. Thanks very much for a memorable experience during our recent trip to Venice!

Fun cooking class! - Great cooking class, Rossana was an amazing host and teacher. We enjoyed walking through the market and learning about shopping for fresh sea food. It was fun to see how locals live and cook and Rossana did a wonderful job sharing details regarding proportions and quantities, depending on how many people you need to cook for. She was very patient and kind. Be prepared to spend about 5 hrs between walking through the market, cooking, and eating. I would highly recommend a cooking class with Rossana. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy!!!
