Lake Como is one of Italy’s most stunning destinations — yet in summer, poor timing can mean spending hours waiting in ferry queues.
This small-group tour, limited to 15 guests, is led by a guide who knows exactly when and where the crowds gather. The day begins in Como in the morning, followed by a visit to Bellagio before continuing on to Varenna. It’s the classic Lake Como day trip from Milan, with carefully planned timing to make the most of every moment.
During the cruise from Como to Bellagio, famous villas are visible from the water — George Clooney’s home, the Versace villa, Villa Passalacqua (voted the world’s best hotel), and filming locations from House of Gucci, The Devil Wears Prada 2, James Bond and Star Wars. The guide shares the stories behind each one.
In Bellagio, guests may also visit Villa Melzi, home to one of the lake’s most spectacular gardens. Entrance is not included, and this visit is optional.
Train tickets and skip-the-line ferry boarding are arranged for guests.
