A nice excursion - With our driver (Cedric?) and our guide (Alejandro?) we were really lucky, because we were not only driven safely, but also ES informed and accompanied - it could hardly get better! On the way out we stopped just below the volcano Poas, could go to the toilet or buy small snacks. Once in the gardens there was no waiting ES and we were able to see the animals at Peace Lodge first and learn a lot of interesting facts there. ES then had lunch in a buffet restaurant, with many dishes to choose from and self-service. Afterwards we went to see the waterfalls. The tour was perfectly prepared and organized, highly recommended. What I didn’t like at all (in the gardens?) is that two cattle had to stand in one place for hours with tourists for photo purposes. DA I find it cruelty to animals and unethical and was amazed, as ES is an initiative against this kind of animal selfies in Costa Rica.

Pleasant day with scenic... - Pleasant day with scenic views on the ride to the gardens. Tour guide Eric was very informative. We loved it, all the animals, butterflies, Ranas and the spectacular waterfalls.

Stunning waterfalls in the modst of the rainforest - The La Paz waterfalls are really stunning and you can see many different animals in the sanctuary (that feels a bit more like a zoo). The tour was well organized and I had enough time to explore. I advise to take a rain coat and a second pair of shoes/pants with you as you will get soaked if you go near the waterfalls.

Wonderful Rainforest Waterfalls - We had a perfect weather day and our driver Harlin and guide Marco were fired up with excitement! This has been one of the best days ever on our 15 day trip to San Jose Costa Rica! La Paz Waterfalls Gardens is spectacular and there’s nothing touristy about this experience. The infrastructure they built here is amazing and leverages the natural environment of these rainforest waterfalls. This tour is worth it!

Recommend to do. - Garden outstanding. Need to be able to go up and down lots of steps. Could use some places to sit along paths. Tour needs to communicate pickup times better. Tour guide was excellent.

Beautiful waterfalls & wildlife - but too much driving. - Heads up - you will spend A LOT of time driving and in the van (more so than I think many of us wanted to). The LaPaz wildlife facility & trails to the waterfalls were very well maintained. Waterfalls were beautiful. Hike to and from is fairly easy - but definitely need to be in decent physical shape. Lunch was not good at all - had lot’s of options but our guide opted for a late lunch and by the time we ate they were packing away the buffet and most of the food had been picked over. Tour guide was nice - but he didn’t do much to bond any of us as a group not even a simple like “hey where is everyone from” etc. Guide also seemed distracted and was on his phone during the hike & wildlife facility.

Great park but trip was too long - The park and lunch were great. We really enjoyed the experience. The travel time was much longer than we expected. We were picked up by someone who did not speak English who took us to a coffee shop next to a coffee plantation though it wasn’t on the itinerary. He then took us to another coffee shop to pick up our guide that was another hour of waiting around. We then got on another large bus which was our tour. No one explained it to us so we’re confused and frustrated. The total tour time was nine hours and not six as advertised. I would do a private tour if I had known we would spend so much time traveling and waiting around.

Don't Book this Tour! - Worse tour ever! No where in the description says they will pick you up at 8am. The tour was supposed to start at 10am. One day before the tour they wrote to say they will pick us up at 8am, and I didn't get this email until we were at the airport on our way to Costa Rica. I told them that it wouldn't work because our flight will get in so late and we won't get enough sleep. I asked if they could pick us up at a later time. Basically they said no. If we don't show up they will keep our US$280. We ended up not going because we couldn't get up at 7am to be ready by 8am. They should warn people when booking, that tours will start earlier than 10am or put 8am if you're going to start at 8am so people won't be fooled to book the tour, thinking it would be at a later time.
