We were thrilled from start to finish by the fascinating history , the magnificent scenery and the welcoming and caring attitude of the staff. The whole experience was unforgettable. It was a chance to see apart of the province we were unfamiliar with. The grandeur of the steep mountains and trees seeming to grow from the tideline to the heights was wonderful.
Ulrich was very informative and witty; Captain Mark was competent at the wheel; and both ladies were professional. All our requirements on board were fully met. The cloudless Fall day made it a perfect day on the water for sightseeing.
I really enjoyed it. I did not however like some of the sexist jokes for which the narrator warned us. There was a sarcastic undercurrent throughout. He does not realize how diverse his audience is. Who needs that on a lovely day trip? Otherwise this is a first class experience. Thank you so much.
The weather was perfect, the trip interesting and informative. It was my first trip up that part of the Fraser. Good food, good company.
The booking process was very easy (we had a birthday party of 22) and once on board everything went very smoothly. The crew was friendly and accommodating - helped us with the celebration and attended to everyone's comfort. The food was very good and they were great with bar service as well. Lots of information as we cruised along the beautiful scenery that is so close but which none of us had ever seen. It was a really special day with sightings of eagles and seals and even a mother bear with her two cubs. All of our guests comments were positive as we finished our trip - a great day!
The narrator was extremely good, knowledgable and a peoples person, as was the captain. Louisa was very quick to spot the bear on the bankside - it made our day... thank you
I enjoyed the trip. the lunch was good. the commentary was good. The jokes were bad! A pleasant day.
Everything was great, the crew were very attentive, boat was good as well as the food.
We enjoyed everything about the trip. All the crew were friendly. The food was delicious. The trip was so very beautiful with excellent narration and interaction by the guide.
The trip is delicious; the sights unforgettable, the crew is fun, friendly and knowledgeable, the food was very nice... A fabulous day indeed!
the captain's commentary was very interesting, lunch was good, and the bear sighting was perfect for my english visitor. good day out.
The staff were excellent, the pilot in particular was extremely knowledge about the history of that part of the river - it was a very interesting and a beautiful day on the river! The cold buffet luncheon was also very nice.
Great day out. Lunch and narration was perfect.
I live in Dunbar and recommending your tours to everybody I know. GREAT STAFF!!!!! - great commentary re natural, political history, and info as to how New West and then Vancouver evolved. And Pitt Lake is God's country - the native tribes living there must feel very happy to own that part of the world. Thank you Ingrid
The Captain was incredibly knowledgeable and informative. He made the trip completely worthwhile. The other staff were also very helpful.
Everything was great!
Due to a death in the family,we had to cancel. We were told- no problem- reschedule when the funeral is over,. We did. Today we took the trip. We both loved it. That captain was so knowledgable, likeable and informative. We learned a lot. The ladies were also very amiable. Both of us loved it and will tell our friends of the lovely tour. Worth every dollar. Heard of the Harrison trip of the past. Wish you still did it,. Thanks so much for the tour and your compassion re the death. Ferne and glen
Crew did an excellent job! Very informative, professional, and entertaining. Boat was clean and lunch was delicious.
It rained all day. The only problem that caused was water getting in along the windows and wetting the floor carpet. Before we noticed, warm clothes we had were wet. I thought the skippers commentary was well done. I was also impressed with his being on top of what he was doing as far as operating safely. I have boated for 40 years but never on the river other than up as far as Ladner on the south arm and New Westminster on the north. We both enjoyed our day. Don and Marilyn
The boat was a good size with excellent visibility for everyone. The bathroom was clean and functioning. The luncheon was good value and there was lots to eat. The service was excellent. I loved the commentary it was very informative and funny. Too bad it rained but you can control everything. We would highly recommend the experience.
the trip was made very interesting in spite of the clouds of smoke over the mountains . The captains commentary was excellent, and the crew was amazingly skilled at everything. We hope that we hit good weather next year, because we will be back! small complaint -the coffee was lousy!--jim
The customer service was excellent.
Excellent service! Very Informative!!! Wonderful lunch!! All three enjoyed! Especially birthday Boy!! Thanx again!
The boat was comfortable, the staff was friendly and welcoming and the tour was extremely informative. My wife and I got to learn little snippets of info about the place we have called home for 25 years. Mark is very well informed, has a nice sense of humour and exudes enthusiasm. Terra put together a terrific meal and Danielle should run a school on how to provide memorable customer service. Thank you all. It was a wonderful experience and we will be sharing this with all our friends and visitors.
We expected to be on the paddle wheeler and not the small vessel we were on. We were not able to get seats upstairs and had to seat over the very noisy engine area. This coupled with a table of four very noisy people seemed behind us made conversation almost impossible. People smoking at the back of the boat meant we had to close the sliding doors because the smoke was bothering two of my guests. Overall the tour seemed too long at 6 hours. 4 hours would have been adequate.

We enjoyed the trip and the adventure. We learned a lot about the area surrounding the river and a lot about Pitt Lake. Mark, our Captain and Narrator was excellent..
Trip was informative. Mini buffet was cute and tasty. The caption and the helper were both good at their job. My wife and I enjoyed that very much.
The captain was extremely well informed about all the places we sailed by, and also controlled the speed of the boat in a very courteous and pleasant manner. The cook and server was very friendly, hard working and vry helpful, especially to me when I had an extra request, also to another very senior lady. I just wish that my loaded camera battery hadn't run out of power just at the pictographs. My friend said we'll just have to do it again another time. It was great, thank you.
Captain was extremely knowledgeable of area, knew alot of the history and hospitality of crew was great.
The trip was fine. Captain Mark was a wealth of information and entertaining. However, charging the tip in advance is audacious and 15% is a large tip for a small crew of 2 persons. Not to ignore the fact that another tip jar was prominently displayed on the boat. They also tried to charge us $2.00 each for tea and coffee, but relented when someone brought up that it should be included. As I told the person handling the booking, the trip was not worth any more than the groupon price, certainly not over $100 per person.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip totally enjoyable. The other employees were also very friendly and added to the overall experience.
Great trip. Staff were very pleasant, and Captain very knowledgable.
The narration was terrific. Food good. Reasonable price for the trip.
Informative, safe, comfortable, friendly, food was fine too. T
The tour was nice and the food was very good. Our only complaint was that although we arrived a 1/2 hour early we were not aware that we would be stuck on the bottom deck the whole time. That combined with some people taking over the front area to sunbathe and other people taking over the back area to smoke we found that we were stuck inside more than we would have liked.
It was casual very friendly staff and Captain. One comment: Quality and it volume of speakers in the back deck Otherwise an enjoyable cruise
Very, very satisfied! Received more than expected. The scenery...... of course we are in BC. The team on that ship was the best. The food, the girls, the service was good, also, the girls helpful and friendly. With a smile on their face. And the Captain, I could say a historian made the surrounding nature interesting. His witty lies ...... makes him a "Peer Gynt" and I gladly belived him. My day was the best! I believed him and will take another cruise, hoping he will be my captain
It was,all in all, a very enjoyable day on the lake/river. Narration was very good as was the lunch served. I will certainly be looking at your other cruises as well as even repeating the cruise taken last Thursday. John Komm
The lovely day had a lot to do with it. Staff very nice, Commentary was excellent. Nice lunch. (Lack of beverages.) Enjoyed the experience very much. Will pass along our sentiments. Upstairs chairs had cushions.
Overall enjoyable trip. Having lived here all my life, we went to places I had never seen. Learned many things about the history of the area.
Not the warmest day but still very relaxing and informative. Even if a warm day take additional clothing just in case. the narrator was very knowledgeable with a host of interesting facts and history. Salad lunch was OK also.
It was a new adventure. We hadn't got up the Pitt River into Pitt Lake and found it very interesting. Your crew were great. Great info on the history and region. We wanted to go last year but your boat was down for repairs. We plan a Stevenson trip next year. Thanks for a wonderful day. Frank & Carol
The trip was awesome. All of the staff were very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Ok, some of the jokes were really corny!!! The food was delicious, and coming from someone like me who is very picky, I was impressed. The scenery was incredible, even saw 2 black bears. Highly recommend this to all ages, not sure about young kids though, as the cruise was a little over 6 hours.
It was very informative and great commentry by the skippers. Lunch was vey good. One small negatve comment. I think for the length of time that one sit on board, more comfortable chairs would be appreciated.
A great day! Our host gave us very interesting and informative commentaries during the trip and the lunch was delicious.
